Having said that, I would like to congratulate every child on their incredible level of participation in the virtual learning this week and we have received some wonderful examples of work from pupils across the age range. May I wish you all a well-deserved weekend and I look forward to seeing all the children again next week – albeit virtually! Dear Parents, As we draw to the end of the first week of term, I hope that you will enjoy reading this Bulletin which celebrates some of the children’s achievements. Having said that, I would like to congratulate every child on their incredible level of participation in the virtual learning this week and we have received some wonderful examples of work from pupils across the age range. Pupils at Belmont were offered an

optional challenge to keep them busy over

Easter and into the new term. Named ‘The

Belmont Challenge’ or ‘The Belmont

Award’ for younger children, Mrs Wigley

challenged pupils to try something

different whilst helping others at the same

time.

Whilst the younger children were set

challenges such as drawing a self-portrait,

going for a spring walk, learning to

hoover, learning a language (Findlay W

learnt to count in Russian), making a junk

robot or leaf rubbing to name but a few,

the older children tried crafts such as

origami, research (see Emily C’s ‘Book of

Kennings’) or completing chores such as

hoovering or gardening.
