School Sport AwardThe sportscotland School Sport Award is a national initiative designed to encourage schools to continuously improve the quality and quantity of physical education and school sport opportunities, within and outwith the curriculum. The Active Schools Network is a team of professional people working within schools and the wider community throughout Scotland.

Our goal is to increase the number of opportunities for ALL CHILDREN to engage in physical activity and sport. We aim to create links with local sports clubs and other community organisations, giving pupils a ‘pathway’ to continue their participation in sport beyond the school gates.

Tennis Duration 2hrs / Indoors

An introductory course for staff aimed at providing you with the knowledge and content to deliver mini tennis.

Sportshall Athletics& Junior Jog Scotland Duration 2hrs / Indoors

Junior jogscotland provides a fun and simple way to get children active through a range of running related games.

The Sportshall athletics section will prepare you to deliver and score all of activity stations in preparation for the schools sportshall athletics competitions

Handball Duration 2hrs / Indoors

This course aims to provide you with the knowledge and content to deliver a handball club at your school. Come along and learn how to play this exciting Olympic sport.

First Aid Duration 3hrs / Indoors

Emergency First Aid Course – subjects include resuscitation, managing the unconscious, controlling bleeding, treatment of fractures and strains and treatment of minor injuries.

Netball Duration 2hrs / indoors

This course is suitable for teachers/coaches that would like to refresh their knowledge of netball rules and skills.

Basic Skills Duration 2hrs / Indoors

A training opportunity designed to introduce individual skills through a variety of activities. The course aims to show you ways to develop hand- eye co-ordination, co-operation skills, spatial awareness & social skills
