closed, before turning on the main gas.2) Put safety goggles on3) Obtain a lab burner4) Connect rubber hose to the lab burner and gas
valve, checking for holes or cracks in the rubber5) Obtain sparker6) Turn the gas valve on7) Hold sparker over the top of the burner, and
squeeze the handle producing sparks until the flame is lit
8) Adjust the flame's heat, by turning the air valve on the burner tube
