    was carrying it

    from

    the bathroom to

    the

    back

    porch.

    arm, but

    happened

    week, Gayle

    and

    Shannon

    Randall

    were

    here , as the fellows were out of

    town

    and

    would be gone overnight, Gayle

    was i roning on the back porch and I

    was scooping

    up some spi l led water with

    a dustpan

    when

    suddenly a

    snake ' s

    head

    lashed out

    from behind some br icks .

    My hear t did a f l i p , but I remembered tha t I kept a shovel in the pantry fo r

    Jus t such

    a

    purpose .

    I

    has t i l y got th e ch i ld ren away, picked up

    the

    shovel ,

    and cap tured th e snake . Gayle Joined

    in

    and

    we

    succeeded in k i l l i ng it

    Needless

    to

    say,

    my

    hands

    were

    shaking

    and

    my legs

    were

    weak

    The black mamba i s

    dreaded

    snake

    o f

    poisonous

    of

    a l l .

    We

    do have a serum,
