Dear JPIIA Parents,

Catholic Schools Week is around the corner. Enclosed

you will find all the great activities that we have planned

for the week. Reminders will be sent as well.

The mass celebrated at Sacred Heart as well as the

Open House (Jan 28 10am- 1pm) are very important kick

off events for the week. Please join us. There is fun for

the whole family. Please bring a neighbor or friend who is

interested in our school. Students should wear their

uniforms to show off their school pride (dress down

passes will be given).

Registration forms are due on Wednesday. NEW this

year, we are now a Siena Catholic School. This means

that all admissions are handled by one team for our 6

schools. It is vital that you return your registration. If you

are enrolled in the RCPC you will have a slightly different

way to apply, this registration form will alert the team

where to place your child. REGISTER now. Do not wait,

call the office if you need a new form.

Have you reserved your spot for Family Math Night? I am

excited at all the families that are coming.

work done for the Father Daughter Dance tonight.

Please note: uniform items may only be purchased through Lands End. There are no other approved vendors! Lands

End has the only items approved for the school logo. Please do not take our school crest logo and have it applied to

8th Grade Formal Pictures

Monday, January 22nd, formal pictures will be taken of all 8th graders.

A few things to know:

Students should dress up, they can change into dress down or uniform clothes after the picture. This does not

have to be their graduation outfit.

A group photo will be taken.

Minimal make up may be worn by girls

This is the picture that will be used in the yearbook

There is NO retake

Purchasing pictures is optional, there will be 4 poses. You do not have to send money right away. You will be

given proofs about 2 weeks afterwards.

Even if you do not purchase, you need to return the paperwork choosing the pose for the yearbook. If not, the

company will choose a pose for you.

Think about this! By sixth grade, chronic

absence becomes a leading indicator

that a student will drop out of high school.

An estimated 5 to 7.5 million students in the

United States miss almost a month of school

every year. This adds up to over a year

missed by the time of graduation.

JPIIA continues to focus on having great attendance in the month of January. The

3 classes with the best attendance percentage and the 3 classes with the best on

time percentage in the month of january will receive a reward from

Mrs. Schumacher.

Make to have everything ready the night before, so getting ready in the morning is

easy!

8th Graders

St. Catherine's Admissions is hosting a Cosmic Bowling night for all current 8th graders at St. Rita, St. Lucy, St. Joe's,

Our Lady of Grace and John Paul II.

The event will take place at The Lanes on 20 from 4-6:30pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. There will be free

rental of bowling shoes, bowling, pizza party and prizes. No cost to the student. There is a limit of 50 students to

John Paul II Academy Carnival

Planning for the 2nd Annual John Paul II Academy Family Carnival has begun and we need your

help! We are looking for individuals to join the planning team - Mom & Dads,

Grandparents, Siblings, Friends and more! Note: you do not need to attend the carnival to help

plan. Help is needed in many areas - raffle baskets, food, ticket sales, donations,

communications, etc. The carnival will be held on May 4th, 2018 but there is work to be done now! If
