DAY 1: TRAVEL TO EUROPE Fly through the night to Brussels, Belgium

DAY 2: BRUSSELS

Your Prométour tour director will greet you at the airport and help with the transfer by motor coach to your quality hotel

Welcome to Belgium Our adventure begins in Belgium's capital city, Brussels. Meet your savvy local

guide and explore Brussels' medieval city center including the Grand Place (considered the grandest square in Europe) with its splendid medieval guild halls, freshly-fragrant waffles and the quirky Mannekin Pis statue nearby.

DAY 3: BRUSSELS Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group and Prometour Tour Director This morning disover the Centre Belge De la Bande Dessinée; The Belgian

Comic Strip Center is the land of Smurfs and Tintin. See the permanent exhibitions; Invention of Comic Strip, the Art of Comic Strip and The Hergé area. Come face to face with a life size Lucky Luke.

Next, a true Belgian delight, a chocolate making demonstration at Chocoloterie Duval. Of course, there’s also an opportunity to taste the chocolates

Enjoy the European Walk with your tour director. Start as Place and Gare du Luxembourg for an astonishing view on the European Parliament and end in Cinquantenaire Park.

Visit the impressive European Parliament Visitor Centre, where you’ll learn about the governing body of the European Union.

Have the remainder of the day at your leisure to see Brussels at your own pace or last minute shopping.

DAY 4: BRUSSELS / BRUGES / GENT / Enjoy breakfast at the hotel with your group and Prometour Tour Director Transfer to Gent (Ghent); one of Belgium's most beautiful communities. Explore the Patershol quarte and see the Castle of the Counts. Board your bus and drive to Bruges, UNESCO awarded the moated city center a

World Heritage status. Meet your local guide who will introduce us to the pedestrian-friendly streets and

alleyways of Gothic Bruges, See the Basilica of the Holy Blood, well worth a visit for the mind-boggling

richness of its decor and the ecclesiastical treasures Lunch on your own Enjoy a Bruges Canal Tour; a half-hour trip that allows you to appreciate the

most noteworthy delights of the city from a completely different angle. Dinner and overnight in Bruges

DAY 5: YPRES / VIMY / LA SOMME Enjoy breakfast at your hotel with your group and your Prométour Tour Director Stop at the site where John McRae penned his renowned poem “In Flanders

Fields” Carry on to visit the sites of the WWI trenches in Ypres and Passchendaele Cross into France as we continue our journey visiting the historical sites of the

courageous battles of our Canadian soldiers as we pay tribute to memory of our fallen heroes.

Visit the impressive Canadian National WWI Memorial at Vimy Ridge Lay a wreath with your school’s name to honour Canadian Veterans Stop at Musée Somme 1916, where on July 1st, 1916, at precisely 7.30 am the

battle started. The next day the number of casualties suffered was appalling: 58 000 men fell, including 20 000 killed

DAY 6: ARRAS / PARIS Enjoy breakfast at your hotel with your group and your Prométour Tour Director Board your private motor coach to transfer to Paris t Stop off in the Trocadéro, for lunch on your own and a spectacular view of the Eiffel

Tower Walk to the Champs-de-Mars and Admire the view from the 2nd floor of the

Eiffel Tower Take a cruise on the Seine River Around 5:30 P.M., transfer to Lisses in the suburbs of Paris and meet your host

families at the Salle des Fete Philippe Gerard. Follow your Host Family for dinner & overnight accommodations Paris is easily accessible from Lisses by RER on the D-Line, from Evry-Courcouronnes station to Châtelet-Les Halles (40minutes total)

DAY 7: PARIS Breakfast with your Host Family before taking the RER to Paris; your families will

give you a box lunch. Visit Musée du Louvre and see some of its wonderful masterpieces such as

Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Audio guides will be available for all participants Enjoy your lunch in the Latin Quarter Visit Notre-Dame de Paris; famous from the works of Victor Hugo Climb Notre-Dame’s tower to have a gargoyles view of Paris Go to Montmartre, the "Butte" as it is known locally; see Sacré-Coeur Basilica Explore Place du Tertre Around 5:30 P.M., return by RER to your Host Family for dinner and night

DAY 8: PARIS Breakfast with your Host Family; your families will give you a box lunch. Visit the Opéra Garnier; best known for The Phantom of the Opera Transfer by RER to Versailles Have your lunch on the grounds of the chateau Meet your museum guide for a visit of Château de Versailles, the extravagant

Sun King Palace. See the Grand Apartments, the Royal Chapel and the Hall of Mirrors

Next, elegantly landscaped gardens that seems to go on forever. Around 5:30 P.M., return by RER to your Host Family for dinner and night

accommodations

DAY 9: EXCURSION TO THE LOIRE VALLEY Breakfast with your Host Family; your families will give you a box lunch. Meet your motor coach and drive to Blois. Enjoy a guided tour from the Educational Services of the Royal Château of

Blois, a true synthesis of the art and history of the Loire Valley. Transfer to the town of Chenonceau and enjoy your lunch on the grounds of the

Château Next Visit the Château Chenonceau, not only remarkable for its architecture

and history but also for the fine quality of its collections. Explore the many gardens and see the Maze, rebuilt exactly from Catherine de Médicis’ plans. Audio guides will be available for all participants

If time permits, have a stop at Château Chambord for a photo-opt. Return to your Host Family for dinner and night accommodations DAY 10: PARIS Breakfast with your Host Family; your families will give you a box lunch. Walk on the most famous avenue in the world, the Champs-Elysées, finish off with

a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Arc de Triomphe Next, learn how croissants are made at the boulangerie Gosselin After Lunch, visit the Orsay museum; be guided through the extensive collections

of paintings, sculptures, architecture and literature from the 19th and 20th centuries. Audio guides will be available for all participants

Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure to see Paris at your own pace or indulge in some shopping

Enjoy a farewell dinner at Nos Ancètres les Gaulois on Ile de la Cité. Return to your Host Family for night accommodations DAY 11: RETURN HOME Breakfast with your Host Family Meet your motor coach at the Salle des Fete Philippe Gerard. and transfer to the

airport for your return flight home
