About the ProgramAfter more than a decade of debate, the Competition Ordinance was finally passed by the Hong Kong Legislative Council on 14 June 2012. This new legislation is a major milestone in the development of competition policy in Hong Kong. It is the first cross-sector competition law to be enacted in Hong Kong, and it shows the determination of the government in maintaining fair and free business environment in the market.
