The Sacrament of Reconciliation In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season it’s good to stop, reflect, and reconnect with God through this special sacrament. The opportunity for reconciliation at OLC is every Saturday at 4PM. If Saturday is a difficult time, St Peter’s in Uptown offers reconciliation each weekday 11:15AM-11:45AM. Announcing the Winter Session of G.I.F.T. (Growing in Faith and Theology).

The winter sessions of this collaborative adult religious education program will begin in February. Over the next few weeks you will see announcements about nine

different classes offered at four Parishes. Registration is available in the Parish Office or online at www.stmatthewscatholic.org/GIFT.

2015 Year of Mercy The Holy Father, Pope Francis, has proclaimed an “Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy” beginning on Dec. 8 2015,

Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and continuing until Nov. 20, 2016, Feast of Christ the King. In preparation for this event the Diocese of Charlotte has compiled information and created a dedicated Year of Mercy website at www.yearofmercy.rcdoc.org. All are encouraged to check regularly for resources, calendars of events and monthly catechesis and reflections.
