ALLEN HOUSE REPORT In the beginning of the year, Allen House thought that they would have a tough time

but as our motto says ‘’Never Despair’’ we forgot that we would have tough times and looked forward to working hard in everything we were going to face. Though we came last in the debate we showed our team work in sports like hockey, basketball and cricket. We obtained the 2nd position in basketball because we lost against Foy House due to our ill luck. We did not lose courage and claimed the 1st position in hockey. Though we lost the cricket match against Condon House, we still worked hard and finished in the 1st position with Foy. Our score sheet reads the following-: We beat Condon by 37 to 17 in basketball. We beat Powell House too. They lost to us by 22 points and the score was 28 to 6.We lost to Foy House by 18 to 12. We did not lose courage and beat Foy House in hockey by 4-1.We beat Condon House too, by 5-0 and Powell House lost to us by 1-0 and so we claimed the 1st position. We lost the cricket match against Condon House but we beat Foy House and Powell House. Special thanks to our house teachers Mrs. C.Teron, Mrs. R.Sharma, Mrs. U.Bhatt, Mrs.Wylie and Mr D.Tamang for encouraging, cheering and always being with us in our times of need. We came 3rd in hockey also by beating Condon House by 1-0.We did our best to get a good rank in cricket but lost all the matches. Many thanks to our debate team - Raiyan Arshad and Merin Elsa Kurian. FOY HOUSE REPORT In the beginning of the year, Foy House thought they would have a tough time with the other houses, but as the time came to compete with the other houses, we saw that Foy House came first in basketball by beating every house. In hockey we tried our best to come first but we lost to Allen House and came second. In cricket we had a tough time with Allen House and the ultimate result was that we had a draw with Allen House. Foy House was very happy with the results. The children who were in the English Debate tried their best as our motto says "Seek and Ye Shall Find". We came first in that debate. My Dream After coming back home, I changed out of my uniform. I then went to sleep. In my dream it was 11p.m.Someone knocked at the front door , I asked’, “Who is there?’’ No one answered. I felt afraid. Nobody was at home. The lights were off. I saw a figure in white and I shout-ed for help. I got up and realized, it was only a dream. I saw something coming near me, it was wearing a white sari. When I looked properly, it was my mom. I told my mom about my dream and she had a laugh. A Nature Walk On Saturday, the 23rd of March, we went for a nature walk. We took our bags and left. We went to Allen. There we found a very pretty flower growing on a tree. After a while, we stopped at the side of the road to eat our snacks. Then we packed up and set off .We found some white flowers called violets. Soon we had to go back to school. Many of us got tired while climbing up the hill. When we got back we were tired but we were happy. It had been a nice trip for all of us. Written by Nikita Arya (4A). Typed by Kawish Raj.

MY PARROT One day, I was out in the garden in the sun. I suddenly heard a noise coming from

the field nearby. It was parrots. One boy tried to catch one of them. He caught three of them. I too tried to catch one but it bit my finger. My father came out. He saw a parrot stuck on the fence. He carefully released her . We thought we should take care of her . We named her Susan. We did not have a bird cage so we let her fly around the house. One day she saw a window open in my room. So she flew away. When I heard the news I was very sad indeed but I always thought that we should keep all the birds free. We should let them fly in and out of the house but we shouldn’t keep them in cages. Contributed by Abigail Tete (5A). Typed by Bhavyadeep Singh Khanuja.

LEAVES

Whenever the winds blow, leaves fly in all directions, Everybody thinks they have come from near-by, But they do not know that they have travelled far and wide, All around the world they fly. One leaf might land on your head, Others on your pant, Some others might land on your plum pudding or stew, When the slightest gust of wind blows, they are off again. Oh, if only a leaf could talk, it would tell you about it’s journey to Hong Kong, England and Ja-pan, But leaves have promised each other that it would not be known, to any human or animal of any clan. Once I found an unusual leaf, My friend said it must have come from near-by, But only I knew it did not! For a leaf once whispered to me about its travels, But now I thought that I must send it to you, and if you ever meet a leaf, find out its secret. Aranyani Swami (5A). Typed by Pranav Chan-dra.
