You wake up. Heart racing. Your chest heaves as you try and gulp down air. Your vision is shattered and disjointed. A small monochrome room slides and jolts before you, while the shadows and blackness remain still. You stumble, confused. It's like you've never moved before, you collapse, the ground rushes to catch you. It hurts, more than it should, it knocks all the air from your lungs. You convulse as you hit the floor, pain crashing over you. Its ebb and flow in rhythm with the quakes of the room. A static overwhelms your ears, so quiet, so deep you cant think. It envelops you and you feel yourself quiver and spasm with the room. A noise breaks you from your stupor, it was innocuous but in the weight of nothing pressing you down, it thunders. Instinctively you look towards the source. Nothings changed, your world slithers and jerks away from your senses. But standing there you see a person. They anchor the world, untouched by the pandemonium around you. You reach out to them, hand trembling, trying to wheeze a plea, though you cant remember how through your pain. They take a step, it echoes through the room, and everything dulls. The room darkens and jerks less. You spasms weaken. The crushing static and pain begin to lift. With every step the figure takes towards you the room darkens and you find more peace. A shadow falls over you, a pale shade against infinite blackness. Nothing moves, you feel a weight press against your head. A hand cradles your cheek. You feel calm roll over you for the brief moment of the figure's touch. Suddenly the fog of before dissolves like a dream. The figure is no where.
