OPERATION

Propeller-driven railcars are funbecause of their unique operatingcharacteristics. For example:- When you turn the speed control,

the railcar will not move immedi­ately. It takes time for the thrust ofthe propeller to build.

- Once the railcar starts to move, itwill accelerate quickly. The thrustneeded to overcome inertia is muchgreater than the thrust needed tomaintain a constant speed.

- When you return the speed controlto stop ("0"), the railcar will keepmoving. To stop the railcar, createreverse thrust by reversing thespeed control.

Attention! Excessive speed in curvesmay cause derailments. Remove anyobject that could be damaged fromany potential derailment area.

Attention! This model does not havebumpers or couplers. It can be dam­aged by towing or hitting other LGBtrains.

Multi-Train SystemThis model is not designed for instal­lation of aMulti-Train System decoder.To use this model on a Multi-TrainSystem layout, contact an LGB serv­ice station (see Authorized SerVice).

Power SupplyAttention! For safety and reliability,operate this model with LGB powersupplies (transformers, power packsand controls) only. The use of non­LGB power supplies will void yourwarranty.Use this model with LGB power sup­plies with an output of at least 1amp. Lubrication 0The axle bearings should be lubricat­ed occasionally with a small amountof LGB Maintenance Oil (50019) (Fig.1).

Cleaning 0This model can be cleaned externallyusing a dry brush. Do not use liquidcleaning agents.

Attention! The figure is not weather­resistant. Protect from moisture.

Replacing the wheel sets D- Unplug the power pick-ups from

the wheelsets.- Use a rod, like a nail, to push the

axles from one side out of thewheel mounts.

- Tilt the axles so the ends arebelow the wheel mounts.

- Push the axles to the other side.- Remove the wheelsets.- Install new wheelsets the same

way.
