What to do if Your Property is Infested

Call a professional exterminator.
In preparation for exterminator:
Remove all bed linens and launder them in hot water.
Dismantle all furniture and vacuum the entire room-empty the contents in a sealable bag and dispose of it.
Wrap infested mattresses, box springs, curtains and furniture before removing it from the room to prevent the spreading of bed bugs to neighboring rooms.
The professional will use a spray around the entire perimeter and furniture.
Seal all new mattresses and box springs with mattress and box spring encasements.
Remove and steam clean all draperies and carpets.
