Page 10: Bearded Dragons

Behavioral Adaptations

• A Bearded Dragon tries to make itself look wider by flattening their body and that makes itself look scarier by doing so

• It puffs up it’s pouch to look even scarier • That helps keep predators away from Bearded

Dragons • If that doesn’t work they run away on their hind

legs to make themselves look bigger so their predators won’t chase the Bearded Dragons

Page 11: Bearded Dragons

Physiological Adaptation

• A Bearded Dragon doesn’t sweat their skin keeps water inside of it’s body

• This helps it to not dehydrate when water is hard to find

• It’s bulky body allows it to store heat inside it’s body

• A Bearded Dragon can stay in colder places than other lizards because it stores heat inside of itself
