Dear Parents & Carers
After another week of live teaching, which has been amazing (thank you Year 1) I am one very proud
Headteacher! I know all the teaching and support staff are equally impressed with the standard of
work and how well the children have been engaging with our online remote education. Parents
please celebrate what an amazing job you are doing and thank you for supporting your children so
well in accessing our learning on Zoom, Teams and the Rainbow Challenges. We are trying our very
best to capture and share this super learning (the newsletter is getting bigger and bigger each week
– thank you Mrs Kell) Just have a look at the graph below….AMAZING !
Next week I will be bringing back our Weekly Proud Assemblies (albeit remotely via zoom) at 2pm
each Friday afternoon.

Next Week we will be celebrating National Story Telling week.
Class Teachers will incorporate extra reading sessions into current lessons or hold
additional zoom lessons to promote the oldest art form in the world.

Nursery & Reception – will be posting a new story to Teams each day with a different member
of the EYFS team reading one of their favourite stories. Staff need a thumbs up if you like the
story as they will be competing against each other to see who gets the most!

Year 1 Story Time – 11.30am each day next week. Ms Meekings is
looking forward to reading some of her favourite stories to all of you.

Year 2 Story Time- Each day next week at 2.30pm – Mrs Horsfield will be sharing some of her
favourite stories and she even has a book written in lockdown about lockdown to share!

Year 3 Story Time – each day next week at 1pm – Miss Naylor is preparing to send her class
into unknown realms and lands. You can curl up with a hot chocolate and listen to her tales
and even share your own.
Year 4 Focus Reading Session at 11.30am will be adapted to celebrate the week – you all know
Mrs Crawford is rarely seen without a book in her hands so Year 4 be prepared to be lost in
storyland with her! Year 4 will also have the chance to share your own stories.

Year 5 Focus Reading Session at 11.30am will be led by Miss Rigby who will be sharing a
selection of her favourite stories.
Year 6 Focus Reading Session at 11.30 will be adapted to celebrate the week- Miss Martin to
spend the week showcasing her accents to fully immerse you all in her stories!
