Are You Ready?

Peter thought he was ready.

Luke 22:33-34, “And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34, And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.”

We Must Make Changes

In order to be ready there are some areas where we must make some changes:

Attitudes Repent from sin and self-will. God will not

bless, empower, or prosper us if we are walking in our own ways.

Humility. James 4:6, “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

Faith. Willingness to obey. The will to fight.

Readiness

We are commanded to be ready. Ready to Serve. Titus 3:1, “Put them in mind to be

subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,”

Ready to Preach the Gospel. 2 Timothy 4:2, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

Ready to Defend the Gospel. 1 Peter 3:15, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”

Ready for the Rapture. Matthew 24:44, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Be Ready

Seek God for supernatural enablement, the gifts of the Spirit.

Cultivate and exercise your gifts. Constantly minister to God in praise. Ephesians 5:19, “Speaking to yourselves in

psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”

Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Prophesy to yourself or unto the Lord.
