Dear reader, I hope this letter finds you well and I thank you for taking the time toread this brochure. Here at AEL, we have recently celebrated 25 yearsin business and as part of the celebrations, we thought it would begreat to let our stakeholders know a little more about us. The followingpages explain our humble beginnings, where we are now and whatthe company vision is. It will also explain what we do, what we believein and the general ethos of the company. You can meet some of our shareholders, look at some of our projectsand see what we want to achieve over the next 25 years. So for now, ifyou are an existing customer we thank you for your continued support. MANAGING DIRECTOR

A family firm started by our MD inSeptember 1994, we have grown steadilyover the last 25 years. Incorporating in2002, the strength of our company hasgrown greatly and what was once just ourManaging Director is now one of thelargest most respected electricalcontractors within the region. We are based in Harworth on the outskirtsof Doncaster and very close to the A1,giving us an ideal position for servicingcustomers throughout the UK. With a large team of highly qualifiedengineers who are all directly employedwe are able to give an unprecedentedservice, in turn giving us continuedgrowth.

However, as the saying goes ‘what got ushere will not necessarily get us where wewant to go', so we continue to strive toimprove on all procedures and operationsthat we carry out. We have made safety of our operations apriority and people become the heart ofeverything we do as we work in challengingenvironments with what is, in its nature, avery dangerous energy source.  Our installations and systems are required toconform to many standards and mustoperate for many years. The only way toachieve this is through having engineerswho take pride in what they do. We havethese engineers.

Having all the accreditations is important but its only part ofthe picture. Accreditation bodies such as NICEIC and BAFEonly see a snapshot of any contractors works. It is thereforeextremely important that standards are held high throughoutany business and at every level from the Managing Directorto shareholders, staff and apprentices alike. Our Director therefore holds everyone accountable (includinghimself) and by doing this, we can offer the best job carriedout every time. Not only that, the works are carried out by ourpolite, respectful staff that are well trained at every level. Ouroffice staff are held to the same standards and in doing so,the entire AEL experience is a pleasure for all ourstakeholders. Probably the most important quality is that we offer anhonest service. It may not sound unique but unfortunately ina world where easy money is often the objective it isincreasingly becoming a rarity.

Electrical installations of all types for commercial and industrial projects. We can help youwith  new distribution  boards to give added protection and power and data points to aidyour working environment. Lighting designs giving high efficiency outputs to reduce your carbon footprint, emergencylighting to guide you in the event of a power outage and BAFE approved fire alarms toprotect your customers, staff and premises in the event of a fire.

Try our unique Testing Package offering PAT, Fixed Wiring, Fire Alarms, Emergency Lightingand Fire Extinguisher servicing. All your premises' required services by one trustedcontractor, always in date, always on time, at one fixed price with only one purchase order toarrange. The simplest way to comply, with a service provider you can trust. All these services can besupplied individually but we are sure once you have used us for one testing procedure youwill use us for them all. As with our installation works all certification is issued without delayand unlike many testing companies, if your systems are not compliant, AEL will provide aquotation to put these items right.

Everything electrical, fire and testing for your premises.

We cannot operate without our engineers. We have put a package together for all ourstaff, which not only includes all the usualbenefits but also includes a vision for eachindividuals future. Training is paramount for our customersexperience of an AEL engineer, so all ourstaff are trained to the highest standards.We do this through Personal ProfessionalDevelopment (PPD), this is where eachemployee has a set amount of fundingeach year to spend on training to furtherhis/her career within their role at AEL.

This may include technical qualifications,safety courses, management, the list isendless. We only ask that the courses arerelevant to the vision of AEL. All employeeshave the chance of becoming shareholdersafter being with the company for morethan four years and by being part of thisselect groups gives them the opportunityto shape the future of AEL and also receivedividends on the company’s profits. AEL has its own football team, we socialiseregularly and although we are not thatsmall family firm anymore, we are all likefamily. Why should you join us - well, whywouldn’t you?

ChloeOffice ManagerChloe is our rising star, who joined the firm as a youngapprentice in 2015. Chloe has now become the hub of AEL.

TomLine ManagerStarted out as an AEL apprentice in 2011, he qualified as anelectrician back in 2013 and became a shareholder in 2017. Heis now part of the management team.

JamieElectrical EngineerJoined AEL in 2016 and showed his capability on his firstproject rewiring a local school. All our customers comment onhis positive can-do attitude and will be oneof AELs shareholders and leaders in the not too distant future.

JamesElectrical ApprenticeJoined AEL in 2015 and is very close to completing  hisapprenticeship. James has a fantastic work ethic and can stillboast no absences in four years, giving AELs customers thatreliability they all require.

We like all our staff and customers to go home at the end of each day in ahealthy state of mind and body. That’s what it is all about. At AEL we aim to dothis day in day out, year in year out. Trying to think of how to improve everyoperation and procedure to mitigate risk. The single best way to do this is training and training the mind to think of safetyat every point in each day. It is not always easy - it is sometimes problematic butit is always worthwhile. No accidents or reported near misses is our aim and onethat we will strive for, whilst ever we are trading. Safety in everything we do.

This is not just a buzz word, it is all our future - not just our future but everyone's. We allneed to do our bit, we all need to help and we all need to think. Technology isadvancing quickly and there are many ways we can help as a company. At our headoffice we are big on recycling and have reduced our carbon footprint with theinstallation of solar panels which provide much of our energy throughout the year. LEDlighting on PIR’s has been installed throughout. Energy efficient heating keeps us warm in the winter months. Our Directors both driveelectric cars and most of our vehicles that cannot be powered by electric are EURO6compliant. Our vans use AdBlue to neutralise exhaust emissions, helping pedestriansbreathe healthier air and also resulting in our vehicles being allowed within all citieswithout charge so we can get to our customers, without paying costly albeit necessaryenvironmental levies. Printing within the office is kept to a minimum and all our waste wherever possible isrecycled. At AEL we are doing our bit and we will continue to strive to do more for ourenvironment.

We know what we are doing, we know whata good job looks like and we only ever sign offjobs that meets our own high standards. Weknow how important your reputation is andwe want to help you keep it. We only want toalign ourselves with professional customersand suppliers. We know how important achievingcompletion of each and every project is, andthat's why we assign dedicated staff to eachof our customers - so you know who toexpect and when, on each day throughoutour journey together. SO, WHY US?

We aim to be the best supplier, bestemployer, with the best engineers havingthe best safety record. Largest UK  electrical contractor? Possiblyone day but being the best is what  is mostimportant.  AEL PLC? We'll see, but we cannot do itwithout you.  Who are we?
