Student Ministry Parents and Students,

Today, Wednesday afternoon at 6pm, is the senior parade. It will start at the High School and end at the town square. For those that would like to (and can appropriately social distance) we have been invited to come watch the parade on the lawn at Ben and Veronica Welch’s. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and hang out (6ft from each other) and enjoy. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, then you are encouraged to stay with your family in your car somewhere on the parade route to honk and flash your lights in support as they walk by. Note: ALL Youth Zoom meetings today are cancelled. Sunday is Mother’s Day and we will be doing a “drive-in” service at 9:00am. ALL student Zoom Sunday School classes will be at 10:30am. Bryan

Children Ministry Parents and children, There have been so many beautiful and sunny days lately, I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather. Our Sunday School time has changed on Zoom this Sunday to 10:30 am due to our drive up worship service. During Sunday School, the kids will be making a special project to tell their moms how much they love you. Please pick up the craft kit for your child on Thursday or Friday anytime between 8:30am and 4:30pm. Happy Mother's Day!! We love you, Cindy

Music and Senior Adult Ministry Thank you to all who contributed their photos for last week's service. I was blessed by seeing you. If you did not get your photo in for last week, you may still send me your photos and I will use them at a later date. Senior Adult activities (trips and luncheons) will all be put on hold through the month of May. We will explore June activities as we get closer to the end of the month. Remember to keep a song in your heart, Kent

Library and Media Ministry Church Family,

The library will remain closed until further notice. God, through a generous donor, has provided us with audio books and e-books at just the right time.

I added 30 books recently to the Overdrive service and will be adding many more soon – including an emphasis on children and youth. If you do not

have the necessary number and pin yet, please contact the library through the church webpage . This service is a no-worry, virus free alternative to our

regular library. God has been good to us that this service was already in place. Keep checking, as we will add books often until this pandemic is over.

Also, please take advantage of Right Now Media for 2 reasons: 1.) Adults and youth have many great Bible Studies to help you grow and lean into

Christ during this time. 2.) Children also have many great Christian and value teaching videos on RightNow media to help them grow and learn during

this time of isolation. If you have not taken advantage of this service yet, you can request it through the library ministry page of the church website.

You can also call me directly at 817-894-4698, if you are having problems.

Church Family,

This Sunday, May 10, is going to be another great “drive up” service

at FBC! We anticipate another exciting day of worship where we

will honor our mothers with a special Mother’s Day gift. The

service will begin at 9am and will last approximately 45 minutes. It

appears from the extended forecast that we will be blessed with

clear skies and cool temperatures. Please pray for God’s blessing on

our worship! Thank you in advance for your cooperation by

remaining in your automobile throughout the service.

As we prepare to re-open the church building for worship on

Sunday, May 17, I encourage you to read our proposed schedule

and the safety guidelines that will remain in place through the

month of May. If changes are made, you will be notified by email.

Since we have never done this before we are depending upon our

staff, safety guidelines provided by our Governor’s office, the

commitment of volunteers, as well as your cooperation to carry out

the plan. We are all anxious to get back together so please be

prayerful and patient. If you have an underlying health condition or

you simply do not feel safe coming back to the church building yet,

then please stay home and worship with us online. We love you and

care about your needs.

Thank you for your faithfulness to pray for our staff and church

membership during

these days of sheltering in place. Thank you for your faithful

stewardship to our Lord’s work in financially trying times. Only

God knows what is next, but we are confident in His love and

provision for us! He has called us to be witnesses of the Blessed

Hope, Jesus Christ! To that end I am encouraging your faithfulness.

Take a few minutes to read Psalm 121. It will encourage you!

Remember the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7th.

Looking forward to seeing you through the windshield on Sunday,
