Welcome...
The Brixham Does Care Cafe runs from
Monday to Friday 9.45 to 1pm in the Function Room
Our volunteers are very friendly and are happy to knock up a
bacon sandwich or a toasted tea cake at a very reasonable
price.
Our cafe makes an ideal location to meet up with friends or
make new ones.
All ages are welcome
We have a variety of drinks, snacks and nibbles available.

Job Vacancy...
Brixham Does Care is looking to recruit a volunteer driver
For our mini bus. The ideal candidate will be confident to
drive a 15 seater minibus around the local area. The
applicant would need to have a clean driving license with
the D1 Category. This role would suit someone who enjoys
meeting people, is self sufficient and adaptable. Duties will
mainly involve driving our service users to groups and
driving for day trips.
Driving would be arranged around the volunteers
availability.
Please note a DBS check will be undertaken for any
volunteers.

Brixham Does Care was founded in 1978 as a Registered
Befriending Charity and has since then been planning,
organising and providing local services to the local people.
We need to continue the groups and activities that are set
up and ask for your support in the work we undertake. You

No Limit is a 1935 British musical comedy starring George
Formby and Florence Desmond. The film, which was directed by
Monty Banks, was made on location at the TT motorcycle race on
the Isle of Man. It was the first of eleven films that Formby made
with Associated Talking Pictures.

Brixham in Bloom Awards...
As you all probably know The Friends Centre was very
fortunate to have Pride In Brixham design and create a lovely
garden space. Well we are very excited to say that The Friends
Centre Garden has been entered into Brixham In Bloom. The
Judges are coming in July to view the lovely garden so fingers
crossed we may receive an award!

Other services include: Books on Wheels, Jigsaw lending,
support with Attendance Allowance forms. There are also a
number of other forms we can assist with.
Home visiting team make some 200 visits per month to people
in their own homes who are isolated, housebound or vulnerable.
You may also join in our afternoon groups or activities. People of
all ages meet here and by coming regularly get to know each
other.

Brixham Does Care would like to thank Brixham Town
Council for their continued support of our services. Brixham
Town Council contributes £17,000 a year towards our costs.
