ExperimentandsafetylimitsIneverysequenceofModuloBat,uptothreeexperimentallimitscanbeselectedonmeasuredvaluessuchastime,current,voltage,temperature,oronavariationofthisvalue.Different,selectableactionsmaybetakenwhenalimitisreached,suchas“stop”theexperimentor“gotothesequenceN”.Additionally,safetylimitscanbeaddedoneachchanneltoshutdownthechannelintheeventsomethinggoeswrongduringtheexperiment.

TheBCS-8xx series battery cycling system isamodularsystemthataddressestheexpandingneedsoftheindustrialbatterycyclingmarketbyprovidingsuperiorspecificationsandcapabilityforaninvestmentthatgivesnewmeaningtoexceptionalvalue.Bio-LogicSAShasover25yearsexperienceinthedesignofinstrumentsdedicatedtoresearchonbatteryandintercalationcompounds.Tobuildonthatlegacy,Bio-LogichascreatedtheBT-Lab®productlinetoextendthegeneralelectrochemistryproductrangetoaddressthemorespecificneedsofthebatterycycletestingmarkets.

EachBCS-8xxmoduleiscomposedof8channels.Toensurebetteraccuracyincurrentcontrolandmeasurement,5 current rangesareavailabledependingonthemodel.ChannelsofBCS-815modulescanbeconnectedinparalleltoincreasethemaximumcurrentupto120 A.Withan18-bitanalogtodigitalconverterforthevoltagemeasurement,theresolutionoftheBCS-8xx isanimpressive40 µV.Toaddevenmorecapabilityandvalue,everychannelinamoduleisEIS-capableoverafrequencyrangefrom10 kHz to 10 mHzforaccurateandfastdeterminationofthebatteryinternalresistance.

BCS-8xxmodulescanbeaddedtoasinglecabinet.Severalsizesareoffered(38U,24U,12Uand6U).Acommunicationmoduleprovidestheindividualcontrolanddataacquisitiononallthechannelssimultaneously.Eachchannelwithinamoduleisfullyindependentfromtheothers.WiththeEthernetconnection,eachBCScabinetcanbeconnectedtoaLocalAreaNetworkwheremultipleuserscanthenaccesstheinstrument(s)andfollowthebatterycyclingfromanywhereacrosstheLAN.AnotheradvantageistheeasybackupofcyclingdataontoaLANserver.

EachchanneloftheBCS-815/BCS-810modulesallowsfortemperaturemeasurementwithK-typethermocouples.EachBCS-8xx modulealsohasananaloginput/outputforinterfacingwithexternaldevices. Batterytestscanbeperformedaccuratelybya4-pointmeasurement.
