Materials are not necessarily raw materials, but can include components and sub-assemblies used in the finished product.

2. Labour: Expenditure on wages paid to those operators who are both directly and indirectly concerned with the production of the product, service, or cost unit.

3. Overhead: An indirect cost of an organization is called overhead.
