COURSEDESCRIPTION
Learn current building information modeling (BIM) software to identify design errors, to improveconstructionprocess.
COURSEMETHOD
• Theclassmeetstwiceweeklyinaone-hourandatwo-hoursessions.• Thisisacomputer-heavycourseandyouwilluseyourpersonalcomputersforamajorityoftheclass
time.• Students are expected to stay in the class until they satisfactorily complete and turn-in their
assignments.Astudentisallowedtocompleteanassignmentathomeonlyifastudenthasremainedforthefullclassperiodandneedsadditionaltimetocompletetheassignment.

Gradesareviewedasameanstocommunicateevaluationofyourworkandprogress.Specificevaluationcriteriawill be providedwith each exam/project/class activity.Workwill be evaluated through in-classfeedbackand/orwrittencommentary.Projects,exams,andindividualassignmentsduringthesemesterwillbenumericalgrades.Eachofthemwillbeevaluatedandthoseevaluationswillbeprovidedtostudentsbasedontheirrequest.Thebreakdownofgradeswilldependon:

CLASSATENDANCE
• Attendance isstronglyencouraged. In-classassignments/activities/quizzesmightbegiveneach lab-
lectureperiods.Youneedtoworkontheassignedlectureexercises/labassignments/quizduringtheclass.However,ifyouarenotthereoryoudonotworkontheassignedexercise/quizduringtheclassyou cannot get credit for participation and assignments. Additionally, extra credit points areoccasionallyawardedforattendanceandparticipationinthelecture.
• Therearenomake-upsformissedclassesunlessyoudiscussyourabsencewiththeinstructorbeforetheclassesyoumissandprovideappropriatedocumentationwithin1weektosupportyourabsences.
