WHO SHOULD ATTEND?Directors, Heads, Managers, Team Leaders, Consultants, Analysts responsible for:• Emergency and Crisis Management• Business Continuity Management • Disaster Recovery Management • BCM Technology and Software Providers • Business Continuity Consulting• Information Security and Business Continuity• Business Quality and Internal Control • Business Resilience • Enterprise Risk Management

Dear BCM Professionals,

For an energy and utilities company, the threat of a continued outage in a critical business process can have a major negative impact. In an era of high availability and instant information, stakeholders demand to know whether an organisation is prepared to react appropriately to incidents and ensure continuity of operations.

Recent disasters and their associated impact in the Middle East and North Africa have highlighted the importance of system availability, forcing the senior management of many organisations to have contingency planning on the forefront of their minds. While business continuity issues do not always arise on a daily basis, it is important to prepare for the day a disaster will occur. Even the most well defined and well executed plan may not adequately protect your business if it has not evolved to address changing risks that arise as your strategy shifts.

The UAE business continuity management regulations have been issued by the Regulation & Supervision Bureau with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) to ensure entities in the water, wastewater and electricity sector develop a business continuity programme and business continuity plan in compliance with NCEMA 7000:2015.

The Business Continuity Management for Utilities Conference will be held from 13 – 16 September 2015 at Park Hyatt in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Based on recommendations and a commitment towards change from industry professionals, the conference will bring together regulatory bodies and the best practitioners to discuss, understand and develop the Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management (CM) learning road-maps which will provide business leaders with the tools to not just survive, but thrive in this new world of risk.

Attending the conference will give you an excellent opportunity to meet industry experts and learn about the latest technologies for BCM. You will be equipped with the tools, knowledge and understanding to benchmark, assess and improve your business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management programmes.

I look forward to meeting you this September in Abu Dhabi.

Kind regards,

Alina Rizvi Conference Director - IQPC Middle East
