Dear Briarcliffe Alumni, The Briarcliffe College Alumni Association has accomplished a number of exciting things in its first full year of existence. First and foremost, we have launched this newsletter, which is designed to keep you informed of the news from the college and about the activities of your fellow alumni. If you ever miss previous issues, you can find them on the alumni section of the new Briarcliffe College Website www.briarcliffe.edu. Your alumni association’s committed volunteers are meeting regularly to help the college plan how to best serve the needs of our fellow alumni. As a graduate of the college, you’ll find that there are services and programs that are open to you. The career services office can help you tune up your resume or assist you with your search for your next professional position. And you might not have been aware that, as a graduate, you can continue to use Briarcliffe College’s libraries. We have hosted a number of events and have plans for even more. You’ll see a few highlighted in the pages of this newsletter. We are actively working to make sure that current students hear about the alumni association before they graduate and get the opportunity to meet successful alumni as part of their student experience. We are particularly excited about launching the alumni association’s Alumni Awards program. Our two awards, the Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Alumni Service Award will be given at the Student Awards program before graduation this Spring.
