firepit in center , is 11" diam, 4~ deep . Fill removed in 7 levels. Nogees

many small & frag . artifac~sm sherds etc . bone frags .

ROOM 11

Contained ~va . 3 firepits rather 1arge ,16 x 20 in fill over center of kiva.

(reuse of area over kiva as reoccupation or work area. ) Note that part of walls

here are very late~ check on plan.

Definate hearth found at depth of 20" (Is this a floor level??)

POT: smooth, gray, Undecoarated, ~II diam. Large area of burned cobs

Two hearths but doesn't say if they are on floor ' level . ??

ROOM 2 at depth of 21" a burned area I' square, on hard packed surface.

Fill contained roof impressions in adobe , apparently of brush . ARTIFACTS: awls" worked bone, human rib? metate, stone scraper?, piece wood 6" x l~ diarn.

FILL: rock on surface , layer roof impressions, at 8" to 15" , rock & aeolian sand,

very few sherds, possible occupatiln level at 19"??

Apparently 2 definate use areas above floor 1 ash layer and 1 burned spot.

A pit i n f l oor against E wall . to shale deposit. No sherds but 1 . pc. wood.

Several more pages by Sturtevant indicate a succession of occupation l evels,

Rock & scattered refuse fill. Notes layer ash at 21". possible occupation

level above the floor o

NOTE: trenchs dug out3ide walls invaDiably turned up refuse piled against wall.

REFUSE AREA TO S. & E, considerable digging here, refuse apparently was deep

enough to cover remaining wall tops on s . & E sides of rooms 1 and 2. Thought

that a part of this refuse was later walled in as work area,"workshop" by

builders of,late walls on top of some filled rooms

ROOM 10 (Frosio)

Floor noted, 1 firepit in center? Hearth round, diam of 28". Notes sherd, charcoal,

bone in fill, probably refuse.
