BC HYDRO UNDERTAKING NO. 30
HEARING DATE: February 25, 2020
REQUESTOR: CEC, Mr. C. Weafer
Exhibit B-48
TRANSCRIPT REFERENCE: Volume 11 , Page 1842, line 26 to Page 1843, line 6
TRANSCRIPT EXCERPT:
MR. C. WEAFER Q And that is a good goal we would agree with that. Now I wou ld like to give you more opportunity now to elaborate on what exactly it is . So the $5.8 million , is there a business case for it that's been filed in this proceeding or is there a better and more detailed explanation in the line in Appendix I to Exhibit B-1?
QUESTION:
Please file the Definition Phase business case for the Asset Investment Planning Tool project
RESPONSE:
The public version of this response has been redacted to maintain confidentiality over commercially sensitive information. If the project proceeds, BC Hydro expects to use a Request for Proposal process for procurement. If the redacted information is disclosed, it may negatively impact the integrity of the procurement process and BC Hydro's negotiating positions with potential suppliers and contractors. BC Hydro can make the information available to interveners with a legitimate interest in seeing it, upon signing the BCUC's form of undertaking.
Please refer to Attachment 1 to this undertaking for the Definition Phase business case for the Asset Investment Planning Tool project. The business case was signed in August 2018. Due to knowledge BC Hydro has gained during the early stage of the Definition phase of the project, we are revisiting the preferred alternative.
