The DCBID was joined by the Historic Core, Fashion District, and South Park BIDs to honor the men and women in uniform whose dedicated service makes Downtown LA a safe and enjoyable community. The DCBID hosts this event each year to give the Downtown residents and workers the opportunity to meet and connect with their hardworking public safety officials. This year’s net proceeds benefited the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Associaon. DOG DAY AT THE CATHEDRALOn Wednesday, July 12, the Downtown Center BID hosted its 11th Annual Dog Day Afternoon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels for Downtown LA residents and their dogs. Over 1,300 residents and 1,000 dogs were in attendance. This free community-building event is a great way for residents to meet their neighbors, make new friends, and celebrate their four-legged friends. Residents enjoyed live music, food by Levy Restaurants, and meeting over 30 pet focused vendors.

Q3 MARKET REPORTThe DCBID released its Third Quarter Downtown LA Market Report, detailing continued growth of DTLA. Leading the way was the residential sector, with another 1,380 units delivered during the quarter, bringing the total for 2017 to a new single-year record of 2,700. The retail sector was another highlight, with the opening of flagship fashion boutiques COS in the historic Olympic Theater and Nordstrom Rack at FIGat7th. In the office sector, The Wilshire Grand Center (left) reached 40% occupancy, adding Metrolink to its growing roster of tenants.
