Welcome to the 2017 BBN GREAT BRITISH MARE & FOAL SHOW + FUTURITY ELITE

This year we’re running 4 Regional Shows. All are Qualifiers for our September GBMFS Championships. All classes

are open to all British-bred horses and ponies, of all genders, disciplines and types, including heritage and native

breeds. This year we also have classes for youngstock aged 1—3, in addition to foals and mares 4 years and over.

Photographer Kevin Sparrow will be at all venues. Videographer Chris Atkin will attend Wellington and Moreton

Horses placed 1st- 3rd in any class at any Regional Qualifier Show above + any Show Supreme or Reserve

Champion, are eligible to enter the equivalent championship class at the GBMFYS Championship Show.

FUTURITY ELITE CHAMPIONSHIPS

09 September p.m. Moreton Morrell College—details as above

Any Dressage or Show jumping Mare aged 4 + years, plus any Foal or Youngstock 1—3 Years that has EVER

achieved an Elite or Higher First Premium score at any BEF Futurity, plus its Dam, are eligible to enter the

FUTURITY ELITE CHAMPIONSHIPS which follow the GBMFS Championships.

All competitors agree they are competing

entirely at their own risk

Regional Show Class Notes – All Classes

• Each age group is judged as a single class with rosettes to 3rd place • Rosettes will also be given to the top horse in each discipline if they’ve not already been placed earlier • The top 2 horses in each class are eligible for SHOW SUPREME + RESERVE CHAMPION at each venue • All horses placed 1st—3rd in each age class + SHOW SUPREME & RESERVE CHAMP qualify for our

GBMFS Championships on 9th September at Moreton Morrell, with a chance to win cash prizes • All Classes are in hand and will be lead with the exception of:

• Foals who will be let loose to run to their dams after their lead walk / trot display • 3 Year-old Jumping/ Eventing youngstock WILL be expected to loose jump • 3 Year-old Allrounders / Other disciplines can loose jump if they wish to do so • Note 3 Year-old mares with foals at foot will NOT be allowed to loose jump

• Note: Dressage youngstock will not be asked to loose jump

• Horse presentation is similar to BEF Futurity. All entrants enter the arena individually for up to 5

minutes initial judging, including lead + loose display, followed by a Walk Ring when all entrants enter

the arena together for final judging. Loose jumping entrants will be allowed up to 10 minutes.

• Entrants should report to the Show Secretary on arrival to collect bridle numbers. You are advised to

bring your own bridle number holders if possible.

• The order in which your entry appears in the catalogue is not necessarily the order in which you will

enter the arena.
