The Montecito series vinyl Bay/Bow windowoffers the outstanding insulating properties, lowmaintenance, and contemporary aesthetic appealonly vinyl can provide. Available in white or tanhomogenous window frames, Montecito’s durablevinyl exterior will never need painting. The windows will maintain their color and shape and can be constructed to your exact size specifications, subject to engineering review. All Milgard windows are made to order at noadditional charge.

Like all Milgard windows, patio doors and sky-lights, the Montecito series carries a Full LifetimeWarranty to the original single family homeownercovering both materials and labor. The MilgardFull Lifetime Warranty is fully transferable unlim-ited up to 10 years. For more information, locateour simple one-page warranty on milgard.com.

Commercial, apartment, multi-family, and co-housing projects are covered by a 10-year warranty from date of manufacture, covering allmaterials and labor, including the glazing unit.

CONFIGURATIONS

Milgard’s 8000 Series Bay Windows include 18”, 24” or 30”“flankers” or side windows, joined at 450 to a picture windowin the center. Flankers are available in picture, single-hung,or casement windows.

Milgard’s 8000 Series Bow Windows are standard in 3’, 4’, or5’ heights joined at 13 degrees in overall size from 5

10050. Flankers are available in picture, single-hung, case-

ment or awning windows.

Milgard Vinyl Bay/Bow Windows are available in customsizes to match almost any design, either new or retrofit.

COMPONENTS

FRAMEMontecito is available in a variety of frame and trim choices.The 3-1/4” deep nail on frame is ideal for both NewConstruction and Replacement installations. We offer a stan-dard nail fin frame for New Construction, and a block framewith nail fin removed for insert replacement, welded into theframe, for stucco exterior Replacement applications.

Frame components are made of a high performance uPVC,rigid polyvinyl chloride material, custom compounded forsuperior impact resistance, color retention and weather resist-ance. The frame and sash corners are all precision miteredand fusion welded for a lifetime of air and water resistance.

The Montecito product line meets or exceeds theAAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A 440-05 IndustrySpecification for Windows and Doors. They are also testedfor Forced Entry Resistance to the ASTM F588-97 standard,Grade 20 level. Each window is labeled with the NFRCEnergy Star performance information, based on the type ofglazing you select.

NAIL-ON FINA 1-1/4” or 2” pre-punched nail flange extendsaround the perimeter frame, securing the windowin rough openings and acting as a part of theflashing syste. Fin setbacks are available in 1-3/8”from outside of frame; also in 1” for our SW locationsusing 3 coat stucco applications (not available at alllocations).

WEEP SYSTEMHollow sill construction and offset weep bafflesrelease any accumulated moisture and help pre-vent blow back, or water seeping to the interiorcaused by a combination of wind and rain.

GLAZING MATERIAL AAMA-approved glazing tape adheres glass to the fixed andvent panel frames which seals and cushions the glass. Rigid

vinyl setting blocks are used to support the unit above thesill, preventing glass shear (glass in the insulated unitbecomes offset).

Extruded vinyl glazing (snap-in) bead is applied around theinterior edge. “Interior glazing” makes replacement of glazingunit convenient; bead is mitered at 45 degree for a finishedlook. Insulated dual glazed panes have a 7/8" over all glassthickness and are dual sealed equivalent for optimal energyefficiency. All Tuscany™ windows currently meet or exceedEnergyStar® performance in all climate zones with a 0.35 u-factor or lower. Specialty glass options are available uponrequest which can help achieve as much as a 26% improve-ment in u-factor. Specialty glass options for privacy, noiseabatement and aesthetics are available upon request.

GLASSInsulating dual glazed panes, 7/8” in overall thickness,are butyl sealed for energy efficiency.

STAIRSTEP WEATHERSTRIPPING– CASEMENT

Two flexible PVC leaf seal on the vent panel providing a weather-tight seal.

– SLIDERSSilicone-treated water-repellent polypropylene fin seal

weatherstripping provides a durable, weather-tight seal. This weatherstripping is installed in an integral, continuous keyway around the entire perimeter of the vent panel and meeting rail.

SCREENMilgard's exclusive PureView™ screen frames are camberedaluminum, assembled with rigid nylon corner clips. Screenscome standard with matching frame color. Optional fingerpull rail on screen for easy removal. PureView's innovativescreen uses smaller diameter yarn, improving the interiorview. The finer mesh also reduces the appearance of a screen,enhancing curb appeal. PureView's fiberglass charcoal screenmesh is strong, durable and easy to replace. All screens areunder one year warranty.

ENERGY PACKAGESMilgard offers two energy efficiency upgrade packages that offerincreased U-Value performance. 3D™ and 3D MAX™ use the ENER-GY STAR® criteria from each climate zone and utilize materials thatare tailored to each individual climate to increase energy efficiency.The combination of the frame material, product design and glazingunit make up the 3 components of the energy packages. TheMontecito Series receives up to 23% increase in energy efficiencywith the 3D MAX package.

Caution: The use of petroleum based fuels or solvents as release agentsin stucco wall installations or glass cleaning will chemically attackmaterials used in seals and other components, and voids the MilgardWarranty. The use of wax based release agents is recommended.

Expanding foam for insulation purposes should not be used. Backer rodor loose packed fiberglass bat insulation is recommended.
