I know you’ll all agree that the concert was one of the best yet, with an amazing variety of talents on display. We had a lovely day at school, and we were so happy to share this with all of our hard working and caring grandparents! Kitchen garden I’m sure you have all seen and been amazed by the varie- ty and amount of fresh produce the garden club has grown and harvested. As you may have heard on the radio, the next step for us is to install an outdoor kitchen and learning space so that our kids can experience everything from planting to cooking and eating. Planning for this is well under way and we hope to be fully set up by the end of next term. This is very exciting and will be a wonderful learning experience for us all! Stage 1 excursion to Wahluu (Mt Panorama) All Year 1 and Year 2 kids had a fantastic day today exploring Wahluu, the Bathurst Goldfields and the Bathurst Motor Racing Museum, learning all about the natural and human features of these great local spots. It is so im- portant that our children learn about their local area as well as the big world they are a part of, so we love providing these rich experiences for them. As usual, they behaved beautifully and showed how proud they are of their school. th April the last day of term

1. Notes regarding the morning tea/afternoon tea options have been sent out. Please keep an eye out for it and if your child does not receive one there are spares availa-ble at the canteen. Please ensure you get your orders in by Wednesday 5.4.17 as we have to bag up the East-er egg bags and we require time to do this. We do not order very many extra hot cross buns as we dont want them left over. Those people who pre-order their buns and eggs will be assured of receiving them. Infants children and parents will receive their items after the bunny hop. Primary chil-dren will receive their items at afternoon tea. Tea/Coffee will also be available to parents on the day. Let’s enjoy this great day and round it off with a special morning or afternoon tea.

Those parents who are donating easter

eggs, could we please have them this

week so we can organise the bagging.

THANK YOU,

Julie Cross Country

This year’s school Cross Country will be held on 30th

March (Thursday Week 10). The event will take place around the school’s back playgrounds. All students 8 years and over will be participating. Students under the age of 10 will be running 2000 meters and 11 years and over will be running 3000 meters. The first 5 students from their age race will be invited to attend the Bathurst District Cross Country Trials at Mount Panora-ma. Parents/careers are invited to attend the event although we ask that our recorders are not approached so they can focus on their role. If there is an issue please see Mrs Spruce. A list of the top 8 students from each age group will be displayed in the school corridor on Friday morning. Students are to wear their sports uniform and remem-ber to bring their hat, drink bottles, sunscreen and asth-ma puffers. If it is wet weather please check School Stream and Facebook for notifications Looking forward to seeing everyone there, Amanda Spruce School Cross Country Organiser
