MINI-LINK Point-to-point
MINI-LINK High Capacity Compact high capacity microwave radio solution
for voice and data transmission at 155 Mbit/s
Member of the MINI-LINK portfolio with high reliability, fast network roll-out, cost-effective solutions and easy installation and maintenance procedures. Furthermore, MINI-LINK High Capacity utilizes the same antennas and accessories as MINI-LINK E.
MINI-LINK High Capacity can be used as a stand-alone compact, cost-optimized radio terminal on end sites or together with the Traffic Node concept in configurations for aggregation sites.
MINI-LINK Point-to-point
MINI-LINK High Capacity Frequencies: 7 - 38 GHz Capacity: 155 + 2 Mbit/s Modulation: 16 QAM, 128 QAM Traffic Interfaces: STM-1, OC-3, E1 (way-side)
Configurations: 1+0 and 1+1 (radio)
Typical hop length: 20-30 km Other features:
ATPC (Automatic Transmit Power Control) IP DCN EEM (Embedded Element Manager)
MINI-LINK Point-to-point
MINI-LINK E Classic Medium capacity microwave radio terminal
optimized for end sites in a microwave network and for separate microwave links
It is an indoor concept comprising an access module magazine with plug-in units combined with an outdoor part including a radio unit and an antenna module.
Typically used for backhauling in mobile networks but is also used in fixed, private, enterprise and municipality networks
MINI-LINK Point-to-point
MINI-LINK E Classic Frequencies: 7 - 38 GHz Capacities: 2x2 – 17x2 Mbit/s Modulation: C-QPSK, 16 QAM Traffic Interfaces: E1, E2, E3, T1, 10/100BaseT
Configurations: Split or all out-door 1+0 and 1+1 (radio)
Typical hop length: 50 km Other features:
ATPC (automatic transmit power control) Capacity agility (software controlled)
Up to 4 modems in one AMM
MINI-LINK Point-to-point
MINI-LINK E Traffic Node The new Traffic Node concept is specifically
designed for smart and cost-effective nodes, aggregating all the traffic from a number of southbound links into a northbound link.
It provides advanced non-blocking traffic routing and multiplexing between multiple medium and high capacity radio terminals.
A solution for an aggregation site consists of Basic Node and medium capacity radio terminals, which comprise plug-in modem units and outdoor parts that are common with the classic concept. It can also be combined with MINI-LINK High Capacity radio terminals.
Traffic Node concept is optimized for microwave solutions with advanced traffic handling on aggregation sites.
MINI-LINK Point-to-point
MINI-LINK E Traffic Node Frequencies: 7 - 38 GHz Capacity:
2x2 –17x2 Mbit/s (radio) 400 x 2 Mbit/s (switching)
Modulation: C-QPSK Traffic Interfaces: E1, E2, E3, STM-1
Configurations: 1+0 and 1+1 (radio) 1+1 E1 SNCP, MSP 1+1 (line)
Typical hop length: 50 km
Other features: ATPC (automatic transmit power control) Capacity agility (software controlled) Up to 18 modems in one AMM IP DCN and EEM
MINI-LINK Point-to-multipoint
MINI-LINK BAS Ericsson´s point-to-multipoint product. It combines
ATM transport and microwave radio technologies in order to build wireless access networks for broadband services and mobile access transmission.
In a multipoint topology the air interface is shared among many terminals, thus enabling statistical traffic multiplexing.
It provides 37.5 Mbit/s in a 90-degree sector. The system is very suitable for data traffic both for
business access and also backhaul for next generation mobile systems.
MINI-LINK Point-to-multipoint
MINI-LINK BAS Frequencies: 26 - 31 GHz Capacity:
37.5 Mbit/s/sector (radio) 530 & 874 Mbit/s (switching)
Modulation: C-QPSK Traffic Interfaces: E1,T1, ATM (STM-1, E1),
Ethernet (10/100 Base-T)
Configurations: 1+0 and 1+1 (radio)
Typical sector range: up to 6 km (Pmp) Other features:
ATPC (automatic transmit power control) Up to 6 modems in one AMM IP DCN and EEM

MINI-LINK Management
MINI-LINK Manager MINI-LINK Manager is a network element
management tool for centralized supervision, operation and maintenance of all types of MINI-LINK networks, consisting of point-to-point as well as point-to-multipoint equipment. Multiple sub-networks are supported as well as multiple operator workplaces.
The MINI-LINK Manager provides an extensive set of functions for fault, performance, configuration and security management.
