Scope
This document is the release notes for the French Language kit version
2.7-1. It presents the new features in this release, the change historysince the last release, any known problems and any known limitations.It details also the syntax rules for the language and the list of basicvoice prompts to be recorded.
Intended Audience
These release notes are intended for anyone interested in using theFrench language running on an OCMP VoiceXML platform.

New Features
This is the first version of the French VXML voice base. It implementssyntax rules used to build complex segments using basic prompts. Thefollowing types and formats are supported:
Digit,
Number,
Date,
Duration,
Time,
String, Count,
Currency.
It implements syntax rules used to build currency related segments.

This package is the first version of French VXML voice base. The systemis a vocal base. It returns a VoiceXML script that is to be executed bythe caller, depending of parameters as language, speaker, kind ofdata and formats. The communication is done using HTTP protocol.

4Syntax rules
4.1 Spelling Digit
4.1.1 Rules
The digits are pronounced separately using the following rules:
Digit 0: this digit is no gender sensitive, so the prompt [n00] isplayed
Digit 1 this digit is gender sensitive
o The male expression is n01. It is used when the objectword is male: un jour n01 day
o The female expression is n01f. It is used when the object
word is female: une heure n01f hour.
Digits from 2 to 9. Those digits are not gender sensitive, so theprompts [n02], [n03], [n04], [n05], [n06], [n07], [n08], [n09] areplayed.

4.2 Spelling Numbers
4.2.1 Rules
The numbers are pronounced using the following rules:
Numbers in the range [0-99]: the corresponding voice prompt isplayed: [n00] .. [n99]
There is a gender for the values 21, 31, 41, 51, 61 and 81:
- If the gender of the word after the value is female, then thefollowing prompts are using : [n21f], [n31f], [n41f], [n51f],[n61f] and [n81f]
- If the gender of the word after the value is male, then thefollowing prompts are using : [n21], [n31], [n41], [n51], [n61]and [n81]
The other values are no gender sensitive and are played inevery context.
Numbers in the range [100-999] :
- If the number of hundreds is greater than 1 then it is playedusing the corresponding voice prompt: [n02] .. [n09]
- The prompt [hundred] is played.
- Then the rest is played, if not null, as a number in the range[1-99]

4.3.1 Rules
Count 1 to 999,999,999 for numbering prompts.
The counts are pronounced using the following rules:
Count 1: this count is gender sensitive, so the prompts [c01] or[c01f] are played, depending of the gender used.
Female gender, use the prompt [c01f]
Male gender, use the prompt [c01]
Others count are not gender sensitive
Some prompts are recorded :
[c02] to [c31] : second to thirty first

Others count are spelt using function Spelling numbers (4.2)follow by the corresponding recorded prompt define above.
Special case:
Count greater than 40 ending by 1 use a special prompt[mdunieme] instead of [c01] prompt.
If count is less than 100, link word [and] is spelt before [mdunieme]prompt,.
