• Do NOT need to be able to do all this for MSc courses
• If struggling with the questions and cannot understand the solutions then come to the Basic Maths Support Sessions
• No question is too basic, come and ask!

When and where are the sessions?
• Lunchtime sessions at 12.30-2.00 pm on:– Session 1: Wednesday 7th October– Session 2: Friday 9th October– Session 3: Monday 12th October– Session 4: Wednesday 14th October– Session 5: Friday 16th October
• Practice between sessions is important and you can read the materials in advance too
• If you enrol you will be individually allocated to a teaching group• Email and notice board in Keppel St reception / outside Teaching
Support Office (TSO) for details of rooms• Download or print materials and bring to the sessions!• Welcome to eat in the sessions!
How to access the course materials

• Combined handout or individual Powerpoints and teaching materials with exercises and solutions
How will the sessions help?• Not training in statistics,
epidemiology or economics
• Refresher sessions for revision of basic concepts in order to handle numeracy required for associated modules
