HH survey Training - SL

Role-Play

PRA - BD

Market Agent Survey - BD

Awareness conducted by Site Manager - BD

Lessons Learnt….

• Farmer turn out for PRA is poor!!Site manager or logistics team member has not done his/her job properly – insufficient publicity or last minute notification

• Participation by women are low!!Chicken are generally cared for by women, and goats by both men & women. Important to have equal representation

• Some farmers in the group are more active/talkative and deny others in giving their opinion!!Observer/Facilitator should divert attention to others in the group

Lessons Learnt….

• Members of the PRA team or enumerators are less familiar with technical termsClarify your doubts during training and use the glossary

• Confusion in names used by farmers to identify chicken and goat breeds Guide the farmers by showing colour photos

• Incomplete PRA reports!!The PRA team should get together and review the notes taken by the note keepers and put together the draft report the very next day
