About Institute of Management Study
Institute of Management Study is affiliated to MAKAUT
(Formerly WBUT) for BBA, BCA, BTTM, BBA (Hospital
Management) and MHA. Dr. Tapash Ranjan Saha, the
Founder Director of IMS, set up this college at Mukundapur
with the mission of serving the industry by providing quality
technical & Management manpower to promote industrial
growth in the state over 11 years ago. This college is
constituent unit of Lake Gardens Saha Education Society, a
non-profit making society registered under society’s
registration ACT XXVI of 1961 No. S/IL/16378 of 2003 - 2004,
established in the year 2003 to promote Education, Research
and Training.
About MSME – DI, Kolkata MSME- Development Institute, Kolkata is a field Institute of Office
of Development Commissioner (MSME), under Ministry of
MSME, Government of India. MSME- Development Institute,
Kolkata provides assistance for the promotion and Development of
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the state of West Bengal
and Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. At present,
there are three (3) Branch Institute at Port Blair covering two
districts in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Aim of this Institute is to
implement policy guideline of government of India that is coming
under Additional Secretary and the Development Commissioner
(MSME), New Delhi of Small Industries Development
Organization (SIDO), Govt. of India, Ministry of MSME. It is one
of the prime organizations of Govt. of India which formulates and
monitors the policies and program of Govt. of India for the
promotion and development of micro, small and medium scale
industries all over the country through MSME – Development
Institutes and its Branch Institutes.
The Institutes is headed by Director who is a technocrat having vast
experience and knowledge on various field of promotional activity
related to MSME sector. The Director of the Institute and its Branch
Institutes are by Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, and
Investigators having background on Technology, Engineering,
Economics & Statistics and Management discipline. Services
covered by this Institute are of areas like: - MECHANICAL,
LEATHER & FOOTWEAR. ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS
GLASS & CERAMICS, EXPORT, CHEMICAL & FOOD,
HOSIERY, ANCILLARY, METALLURGY,ECONOMIC
INVESTIGATION & STATISTICS, SENET, CANE AND
BAMBOO, INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING,
HINDI, LIBRARY, INFORMATION FACILITATION AND
MORE.
Objective of Workshop
The objectives of SEMAP are as follows:
To develop a cadre of industrial managers specifically
trained to assist the entrepreneurs in their multiple
responsibilities.
To open up new avenues of productive employment
for young graduates who are otherwise not
professionally qualified.
Eligibility & Duration Individuals who are 10 + 2 passed out with English, Diploma
Engineers & other Diploma Holders, ITI, unemployed
Graduate and those who are interested to work in SSI, MSME
or want to become entrepreneurship are eligible for the
SEMAP course.
Duration: - 6 Months [24 weeks] (Class room lecture – 10
weeks, SSI training – 10 weeks, Project presentation – 4
weeks)
Course Fees – 30, 000/-
Class Timing
Monday to Saturday except holidays, class
timings shall be from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Office
hours from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm
