There is a beautiful worship song most of you that are reading this probably know. It is called “How Deep The Father’s Love”, it’s one of my favorite songs to sing during worship. It reminds us of the great love God has for us, and what Jesus went through for us. Let’s look at how deep God’s love for us is through what Jesus did for us.
How vast: God’s love for us is so vast that He created the world for us to live in (Genesis 1) and made a way for us to live with Him in eternity when our time here is gone (John 3:16).
How painful: The pain and suffering Jesus went through and what God went through allowing it was unimaginable pain. Jesus was decimated physically (but not broken), but His love pushed Him through, even though this kind of sacrificial love was painful.
How necessary: Without God’s love and free gift to us we could NOT have eternal life. We cannot earn it on our own, it could only be given to us. It was ONLY Jesus that could take our sins away (Hebrews 10:4)
How grateful (we should be): How often do we think about the vast-ness of God’s love, the pain it took for Jesus to give His life for us, or how without that act of love we would be lost? Do we thank God by showing Him how much we love Him? He says if you love me keep my commandments. It seems like such a small thing to ask when we understand how deep His love truly is.

A close friend of Bro Dwight Conway, Hal McAnally, a self-employed painter, suffered a very serious face and eye injury when he was
struck by a rock thrown from a lawnmower. Sadly, being self-employed he has no insurance and is unable to have much-needed surgery. If anyone would like to help financially please see one of the Elders or Staff and they’ll ensure that your
donation will help fund his surgery. In addition, donations can be made at any Branch of the Redstone Federal Credit Union as well in the name of Hal McAnally.”
Dear Church Family, Thank you so very much for the prayers, visits, calls, texts, food and Facebook posts during my recent surgery and recovery. It’s in my time of need that I need you most and you always come through.

The Most Difficult Tongue Twister
According to The Guinness Book of World Records, the
toughest tongue twister is 'The sixth sick sheik's sixth
sheep's sick'. However, researchers from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology claim there could be an even tough-
er one. Dr. Stefanie Shattuck-Hufnagel and her team assert
that 'pad kid poured curd pulled cold' is the toughest
tongue twister that has ever been created. They said it is so
difficult, that when people were asked to repeat it rapidly
ten times, they became so tongue-tied that they stopped
speaking altogether!
As to which one of these two is the toughest tongue twist-
er, you can make that decision. But these two phrases are
not the hardest ones to say. It has been my experience that
there are at least three other phrases people have greater
trouble uttering. These are: “I’m Sorry,” “I’m wrong,” and
“Please forgive me.” Why is it so hard to admit wrong in
our lives, to acknowledge the hurt we’ve caused others or
to humbly beseech another to forgive that wrong and hurt?
Why is it we would rather a problem grow, love die and
troubled relationships become irreconcilable, than look
another in the eye and say “I’m sorry” for an ill-spoken word
or wounding action? You know the answer as well as I –
It’s the villain called “Pride” that keeps a lock upon the heart
so that the words of remorse cannot flow from the tongue!
(Proverbs 16:18; 29:23)
