BARODA SWAROJGAR VIKAS SANSTHAN (BSVS) (BARODA R-SETI)
•BSVS (Baroda R-SETI) was established with the purpose of imparting training to
unemployed youth for self employment ventures.

•Bank established Baroda Swarojgar Vikas Sansthan on 19th December, 2003 as a society under Society Registration Act 1860 and also under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 to impart knowledge and skill for unemployed youth to enable them to take up self employment ventures.
•The Registered Office of the BSVS is at Bank of Baroda, Staff College, Opp. Law Garden, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad - 380006.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
• To identify, orient, motivate, train youth and impart them the knowledge and skill for taking up self employment ventures.
• To train youth, impart knowledge & skill for taking up self employment ventures.
• To develop attitude for working in rural areas, rural development projects.• Assist youth in self employment and obtaining credit from financial
institutions.
• Open and maintain training centres within the country.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES :
• Conduct various training programmes – independent or in collaboration with other organizations.
• Provide expert guidance and assistance to the institutions / organizations / individuals.
• Provide counseling and consultancy/ guidance to youth for self employment and rural development.
• Take up research activity in self employment and rural development area.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:• Take over and manage any existing unit with or without obligations as
the governing board may deem fit.
• Print, publish and exhibit film, journals, periodicals, books, lectures and other reading and pictorial matter for diffusion of knowledge and training in self employment and rural development.
• Work for development of villagers and quality of life in rural area.
• Other activities as are necessary for effective implementation of objectives of the society as governing body may decide from time to time.
PROGRESS IN SETTING UP OF BSVS:
• Bank of Baroda has embarked upon an ambitious programme of setting up of BSVS (R-SETI) centres across the country with a focus on expanding its network in our lead districts.
• The BSVS trust founded in 2003 by Bank of Baroda for promoting Rural Entrepreneurship has now branched out to 49 BSVS centres with pan India coverage in 7 states of which 16 are in Uttar Pradesh, 2 in Uttrakhand, 12 in Rajasthan, 14 in Gujarat, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 2 in Bihar and 1 in Maharashtra state.
• BOB’s Ajmer (Rajasthan) R-SETI is dedicated exclusively for training women beneficiaries, and managed by women Director.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR TRAINING PROGRAMMES:
Any unemployed youth in the age group of 18 - 45 years, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender and economic status, having aptitude to take up self employment or wage employment and having some basic knowledge in the related field can undergo training which is totally free.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
So far BOB’s BSVS centres have organized training in more than 65 activities. Some of the major activities are:
• Enterpreneurship development programme for SGSY • Dairy farming, dairy development and vermi compost • Tailoring, Beauty Parlour• Mobile Repairing• Dairy Development• Tailoring• Inverter Manufacturing and Repairing• Refrigerator repairing• Photography & Videography• Mushroom Production
MAJOR ACTIVITIES:
• Soft toys and decorative items, Agarbatti manufacturing• Auto, two-wheeler repairing• Service, repair and maintenance of computer hardware• Food processing techniques• TV, radio, DVDs , other electrical items repair etc.• Screen printing, leather goods manufacturing
• At present, there are 49 BSVS Centres in different states and of which two viz. Ajmer and Rae Bareilly are exclusively for women.
