“Trap Wire”A time tested solution for today's problems.time tested today’s problems.Why use Trapezoidal Shaped Wires?

Conductors made from round wires have“interstices”.

Interstices are the voids between the individual strands.

Aluminum strands are Trapazoidal shaped, hence the term “trap wire”.

No interstices means more aluminum conductor in an equivalent diameter construction!
