Awesome Animal s Homework Menu Here is your homework menu for Term 5. Each week you should choose one task to complete. Homework books will be sent home on a Friday and are due back in by the following Thursday. Teddy Bear’s sleepover! Our class bear, m Biscuit Bear, will continue to be sent home with each child in the class for a week. During the week you have Biscuit Bear your homework will be to fill in his diary book Geography In Geography we will be naming and finding the continents on world maps and in atlases. Have a look at a map or an atlas with an adult and find out 5 interesting facts about a continent. You could find Poetry Corner Create a poem about your favourite animal. You could create a shape poem, a rhyming poem, an acrostic poem… Animal Art Create a (small!) model of an animal of your choice. See if you can find out something interesting about it to tell the class. Measuring Madness In maths we are looking at how to measure length, weight and capacity. Try measuring things around your house. Here are some ideas: Measure out ingredients for a recipe using scales. Find and order containers according to their capacity. Use a ruler to measure objects around the house to the nearest cm (for year 1) and nearest mm (for Animal instincts Create your own animal. Think about where it will live, what features you will give it to help it live there and what it might eat. Awesome Animal sHomework Menu

Here is your homework menu for Term 5. Each week you should choose one task to complete. Homework books will be sent home on a Friday and are due back in by the following Thursday.

Teddy Bear’s sleepover!

Our class bear, m Biscuit Bear, will continue to be sent home with each child in the class for a week. During the week you have Biscuit Bear your homework will be to fill in his diary book and come to school prepared to talk to the class about your week with him.

Geography

In Geography we will be naming and finding the continents on

world maps and in atlases. Have a look at a map or an atlas with

an adult and find out 5 interesting facts about a

continent. You could find out about the types of animals which

are found on that continent!

Poetry Corner

Create a poem about your favourite animal. You could

create a shape poem, a rhyming poem, an acrostic

poem…

Animal Art

Create a (small!) model of an animal of your choice. See if you can find

out something interesting about it to tell the class.
