Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgivinglet your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

We are so excited to report that the

    long-anticipated SMA Cessna 182

has been flying! At the very end of

June both of our pilots began flight

training on the new aircraft. The le-

gal process of registering the aircraft

    in Madagascar has been lengthy,

and we wont bore you with the de-

tails. Lets just say, Philippians 4:6

sums it up well. Be anxious for noth-

ing, by prayer and supplication, let

your requests be made known to

God. There hasnt been much we

can do to speed up this process.

Time and again, weve been re-

minded to leave things in His hands.

Faithfully, He has shown us He is still

in control! Praise God. The last thing

that must be approved by the civil

aviation authority is a matter of

weeks away. It is our prayer that by

the time you are reading this news-

letter, MAF will be transporting mis-

    sionaries around Madagascar in this

new aircraft. Thank you for your

prayers about this addition to our

team. Please also keep our MAF pro-

gram in Chad in prayer. They are

currently working to add the same

    aircraft to their fleet.

In July, Karina had the privilege to go

    flying to Ambatondrazaka. MAF

picked up a team of eye doctors

serving in the village. It was such

neat chance to see more of the to

ly and August are considered Winter in

e southern hemisphere. Homes here are built

thout central heating systems because it just

nt cold much. But when the temperature

oes dip, especially at higher elevations wheree live in Antananarivo (approximately, 4500ft)

2 degrees feels cold inside of our house! Its

e time for being cozy by the fireplace (which

e are very thankful for) and wearing scarves

nd pants and sweaters. We are also very

ankful for the endless blue skies of winter

they are referred to here. It is cheery, de-

ite the cool weather. Plus, being the dry-

ason, we really havent seen rain in many

eeks, months actually, this is a MAJOR plus

r us who have grown up on the wet coastBC. The children still love to play outside for

any hours during the day, in fact, we often retreat to the out-

oors to escape the coolness inside our home.

    We are following

    th e Fre n ch /

    American school

    schedule, so even

though it is winter we are officially on s

break. Rob is spending his spare time bu

wooden picture frames on his table saw

he is so glad he shipped from Canada), dra

out plans for a stone patio in our yard, and

dering improvements with Josh (our neig

for the childrens play-structure in our

pound. I am attending a book club with

missionary ladies in the community, and

by little becoming more independent ge

    shopping done around Antananarivo.

    BirthdaysCalvin celebrated his 1st birthd

May, which I forgot to mention in the last n

letter. (Yes, hes the 4th child). This mWesley turns 4!

We are so thankful for each one of you, who pray for us

and give financially to MAFs ministry. It is a privilege to

    here.
