Add Music from a File
In this class exercise, you will create a PowerPoint presentation about the Story of Your Life.
HOW TO ADD MUSIC
1. Click the ANIMATIONS TAB.2. Go to the ANIMATIONS GROUP and click on CUSTOM ANIMATIONS.
Notice the Custom Animations window open on the right side of your screen.3. Click Slide 1.4. Click the INSERT TAB.5. Under the MEDIA CLIPS GROUP, click on SOUND.
TO ADD SOUND FROM A FILE
1. Click SOUND FROM FILE. Note, this is going to insert music from a music file found on your computer.
2. When you click on Sound from file, an INSERT SOUND box will open. 3. Click on MUSIC in the left window of this box to display all music files on your computer. NOTE –you
may need to go to your FLASH DRIVE to find your music files.
4. Click on the music file that you want inserted into your presentation and click OK.

5. Click on AUTOMATICALLY when you see the box that asks you “How do you want the sound to start in the slide show?”
6. Notice the microphone picture that is now inserted into the center of your slide. 7. Click to select the MICROPHONE, and click the arrow to the RIGHT of the EFFECT.
8. Click EFFECT OPTIONS. Notice the PLAY SOUND BOX opens.
9. Under START PLAYING, click FROM BEGINNING.10. Under STOP PLAYING, click AFTER and type in the last slide number.11. Click OK.12. To test, click the SLIDES HOW TAB. Go to the START SLIDE SHOW GROUP and click FROM
BEGINNING.
