International Projects “The Massacre Project.” Invited member of British Commonwealth-funded, multi-year project with international colleagues Dr. Philip Dwyer, of the University of Newcastle, Australia; Dr. Nigel Penn, of the University of Cape Town, South Africa; and Dr. Lyndall Ryan, of the University of Newcastle, Australia, examining British-related, colonial massacres, worldwide 1780–1820 and distinction between massacre and genocide. Products include visits to & speaking at each other’s universities (completed, 2009–2012); journal article (completed, 2013); 2014 Rockefeller Bellagio Residency; jointly authored book (forthcoming, 2019).
