Bar surfaces: *)
drawn - Class 1peeled - Class 2ground - Class 3
The surface can be inspected by the eddy current testing.scope and conditions of the inspection are to be agreed on ordering.–
*) Acc. to EN 10277, scale removal before drawing by shot blasting, manufacture to a higher class requires priorcoordination
As standard, bars are made as raw, hardened by drawing “+C”,raw peeled “+SH” or raw ground “+SL”.Delivery of bars in other manufacturing types and heat treatment statuses can be agreed, e.g.:
drawn : +A+C; +N+Cpeeled : +N+SH; +QT+SHground : +N+SL; +QT+SL
Bars are made as straightened, deviation value from straightness is:max 1,0 mm/m. Higher straightness requires coordination.
Bar ends are cut
for dimensions from 4,0 mm to 20,0 mm: cut on a cutting machinefor dimensions from 20,0 mm to 75,0 mm: one- or two-sided cut on a saw
Bars of cross-section dimensions from 10,0 do 60,0 mm can have chamfered endsand be faced on ends. Size of chamfering ~2/45°.Bars made of free-cutting steel, of diameters over 10,0 mm have chamfered ends as standard.Colour marking of ends requires coordination.
Bars are packed in bundles, weighing 1000 to 2000 kg, tied with steel bands at severalpoints of the bundle length.
Bar surface is covered with anticorrosive oil, protecting it during transport in closedvehicles and storage in covered warehouses throughout the normal storage period.Any special anticorrosive protections require coordination.

Chemical analysis acc. to melt analysis. In the table, designations used conventionally in several countries have beencompared. Steels made in respective countries are not always exactly interchangeable; they can differ in chemical analysisor propert ies. We suggest using designat ions coordinated in internat ional standards (EN) .
