SNHI exists to provide high quality health care services to all people in an affordable, equitable and accessible manner, in line with the Swaziland National Health Policy and within a Christian environment and commitment to the Great Commission adopted by Church of the Nazarene SNHI Will be at all times guided by the following values towards both patients, clients and fellow colleagues: Compassion - We treat all those we serve with kindness embracing the whole person through responding to emotional, spiritual and social concerns as well as physical needs. Professional Excellence - We will pursue excellence in everything we do with continuos improvement I quality, service and cost effective, teamwork and continuos professional development are essential to ensuring high perfomance. Integrity - We take personal responsibility for services we provide through honest, trust, value and moral driven principles and for the perceptions and experience of the patient, employees and the community. Respect- We are courteous and sensitive to others’ wishes and feelings and act without bias to those we provide care to. Customer Centric- SNHI works to foster sound relationships and a culture that supports the overall health care and safely of patients, staff and the community. Overview The Swaziland Nazarene Health Institution (SNHI) comprises the 350 bed Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital located in the densely populated area of Manzini, and the eighteen (18) Nazarene Community Health Clinics operating in the four regions of Swaziland and serving an aggregate population of 350,000 for RFM Hospital and 250 000 for all the clinics. OUR BELIEFS AT SNHI PATIENT / COMMUNITY A paent, community, group, family, person or an individual is composed of bio‐psycho, socio‐cultural polical and spiritual variables. A person is a unique, holisc, dignified individual, created in the image of God, capable of self‐care. When illness stressors occur then the professional health providers perform appropriate intervenons to restore health. People connuously strive to maintain a balance between self and the environment to promote opmal levels of health or wellness. HEALTH Health is a changing state of wellbeing varying from utmost health to illness state and vice versa. Opmal health is aained where a balance is maintained between the body parts and the environment. Poor health status may result in death. . ENVIRONMENT The environment consists of all bio psycho‐socio‐cultural, polical and spiritual variables around the person’s sphere of life and with which the person‐individual, family, groups or community connuously interact. Professional or skilled health providers empowered by the Almighty God bring about harmonious interacon between person and environment through health service provision. HEALTH SERVICE Health service is a special quality, creave, accurate professional care or assessment and intervenon aimed to bring about stability between the human body and the environment, in order for person to aain an opmal level of health. Health providers employ unique strategies of caring, health educaon, and treatments to enhance opmal level of wellness. HEALTH PROVIDER A health provider is a God empowered, skilled professional health provider who through crical thinking, decision making and professional knowledge evaluates and offer professional service to a person. Health providers seek to connually learn and upgrade professional knowledge and pracce and specializaon, seeking for more wisdom from God, health research and scienfic enquiries. PHILOSOPHY OF THE SNHI The philosophy of SNHI is congruent with the Ministry of Health and the internaonal Church of the Nazarene whose mission is adopted from Mathew 28:19‐20 where Christ commissions his followers to go out healing,teaching and preaching. SNHI is a Chrisan heath instuon with the purpose and goal of enhancing an opmal state of health for people, through the various levels of professional health providers that ulize resources to produce caring intervenons. Organizaonal policies and procedures are available to enhance a stable safe environment for both the client and the service provider at the Nazarene Health Instuons.
