Bangalore Regional Centre, IIChE and Student Chapter Activities of MSRIT Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers is a confluence of streams of professionals from academia, research institute and industry. It provides them the appropriate forum for joint endeavors, hand-in-hand, to work for human being through application of chemical engineering and allied sciences. It is apex professional body of chemical engineers in the country. Even as the IIChE is always moulding itself and playing a proactive role to keep up with the ever changing needs of the society and the economy. Bangalore Regional Centre (BRC) of IIChE is functioning from the Chemical Engineering Department of MSRIT for more than a decade. Faculty members are members of the Executive Committee of BRC and several activities are conducted for the chemical engineering community. Most prestigious event of chemical engineers in the country Chemical Engineering Congress - Chemcon and 64 th Annual Session of IIChE was organized by the department in association with other institutes during 28-30 th December 2011. BRC has been awarded as the Best Regional Centre in the year 2015 and again in 2016 under category ‘B’. Student Chapter of IIChE at MSRIT is actively and enthusiastically organizing programs. Most of the students at department are members of IIChE and are working for professional pride and better networking with other chemical engineers in the region. Bangalore Regional Centre, IIChE and Student Chapter Activities of MSRIT
