16-17 June 2016
Invitation to CAEs and internal auditors from
Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Latvia,
Lithuania, Norway and Sweden,
Baltic and Scandinavian
Internal Auditors Roundtable
The Idea of the Roundtable
The main aim of the roundtable discussions is that Baltic and Scandinavian internal auditors share their experiences and best practices used in their internal audit units. To enable more networking among internalauditors in Baltic Sea Region.
Working language: English
Previous Roundtables:
April 2015 in Vihula, Estonia
April 2016 in Pärnu, Estonia
Baltic and Scandinavian Internal Auditors Roundtable
• The participants are from Baltic
and Scandinavian countries
from the internal audit units of
financial institutions, energycompanies, retail sector, other private companies, ministries, state agencies, Big4 audit companies.
Participant’s feedback
"A great opportunity for knowledge sharing, networking and brainstorming
with top proffessionals. You can give and you can gain in this event. It is
good chance to benchmark with your industry peers and get understanding
what neighbors do. Relaxed, informal atmosphere and some fun“
Erik Štarkov, CAE at Eesti Energia
“In our opinion most beneficial was possibility to share experience with
internal auditors from different companies and countries not only in the
formal but also in the informal environment. We liked the place of the event,
organization of the first evening events (tour and dinner) and formal
discussions.”
Eva Kuzmickiene, internal auditor at JSC INVL Asset Management,
Lithuania
Participant’s feedback
„It's great to realize that you're not alone - there are several others struggling
with the same problems and looking for similar solutions in their work. The work
in small constantly changing groups gave gratifying opportunity to meet internal
auditors from different countries and different companies.”
Ellen Kass, the CAE at Port of Tallinn Ltd, Estonia
“Before the round table my personal expectation was to meet new professionals
with who I could later consult and share experience. This expectation was met
and in addition to that I had a chance to rethink the audit process in our
organization and to look at it from a different angle. I’ve learned about various
possibilities to improve and to work around the obstacles of planning,
recommending. The technical aspects of the event were flawless and available
flexibility was very pleasing. The only minor drawback was the length of the
Roundtable - it could have been longer!”
Agnė Dapkuvienė, Chief Specialist at National Paying Agency, Lithuania
