“It started out during school and at home that I would have tics, my head would move and/ or I would shrug my shoulders involuntarily. I went to a few different doctors. They prescribed pills, which I took for 4 or 5 months and the symptoms got worse! It got so bad that sometimes I had to leave school in the middle of the day. My sister’s friend, who is a patient of Dr Zembroski’s, suggested that he could help. My mother brought me to see Dr Z for an evaluation. He explained what my problem was, what he could do to help, and what I could do for myself to help as well. I started treatments with Dr Z, followed his recommendations to take specific supplements and do exercises at home to help with my problem. In 2 or 3 weeks, I started noticing a difference. The tics came less frequently. I also started feeling more energetic, like when I would get up for school in the morning. I was able to fall asleep a lot faster and sleep better, when before I would lose sleep because of the tics. I can now stay in school the whole day, the tics are much less, and I’m feeling better overall. As I continue treatment, the underlying problem should be resolved and I won’t have to worry about the tics anymore. I have told a lot of my friends about Dr. Z who have other issues that he can help with, like ADD and depression.” Matthew M., age 17 Ballistic Movement Disorder (“Tics”)
