The first moulded end piece was invented and patented by Balin, in fact, the prototype was a cut down and remodelled skateboard wheel in 1979. Our moulding technology is unique to Balin. There are no ‘slots‘ in our moulds.

This means we can achieve a higher ratio of bonded surface area to weight, therefore the leash is stronger and lighter.

Having a swivel on your legrope eliminates the chances of your legrope becoming tangled or knotted

up while you’re surfing, they ensure maximum manoeuvrability and make sure the leash is always

HOW TO CHOOSE A BOARD COVER We have a large selection of styles and sizes, if you work out your needs then we will have a cover to suit. Most Retail Stores can not carry our whole range but they can order in for you. Allow 6-5 working days.

UTE / Basic, no frills but they are light weight AND durable TOUR / Gear Pocket for Wetsuit towell etc, Plush lined, Vents, Poly Canvas Top. EXPORT / Gear Pocket for Wetsuit towell etc, Plush lined, Vents, Poly Canvas top and bottom. 10mm Padding, great for traveling / aircraft.

TRAVEL / MULTIPLE BOARDS on Aircraft UTE / Basic, no frills but they are light weight AND durable. Doubles only. SLIMLINE / Doubles and Triples - Maybe 4 if your boards are all really thin. They will take 2 or 3 boards up to 3” thick and 20 - 21” Wide. The Covers are actually 23” wide. A Zip Up section allows a maximum of 1 fixed fin board to be packed. MULTI BULKY / Up to 4 Boards. Designed to Cater for at least one larger Full Nose Board. IE Start with your longest Mini Mal or Longboard then add other short boards. This means these covers have lots of room for “stuff”. COFFIN WHEELER / Up to 4 Boards. Wheels Add weight. Consider Airline Luggage charges and restrictions. Broader Template. More Room for “stuff”. SIZES The SIZE tag, on the side indicates the BOARD SIZE. You can get an extra Inch in sometimes, however a 6’8” board won’t fit in a 6’6” cover. TIP: If you want more room in the Multi Bulky cover; Go longer… There is no problem with some extra room. ZIPPERS Zip Slides are prone to corrosion. We tried Plastic but they wear and don’t last. YOU MUST LUBE AND WASH BEFORE STORAGE. We use a Spiral Style rather than Chunky teeth, they handle Sand better. Stating the obvious - Don’t Drag your covers along the ground. It will wreck your Zips.
