BMS launched into the Holiday Weekend with our annual talent show on Friday. Each year our students' talents grow and diversify, and always we are blown away by the amazing abilities our students exhibit. This year we had solos, duets, guitar, flute, piano, ukulele, a drum line, and several different dance acts, including tap dancing, ballet, and breakdancing! We are pleased to have the opportunity to showcase the hard work and dedication of our students during today's performances. We appreciate the supportive families who were able to join us today, and we thank our student council for organizing this fantastic event! Please enjoy a safe and restful holiday weekend!

Baldwin’s Got Talent!

BMS launched into the Holiday Weekend with our annual talent show on Friday.  Each year our students' talents grow and

diversify, and always we are blown away by the amazing abilities our students exhibit.  This year we had solos, duets, guitar,

ANNUAL SPORT PHYSICALS

The annual sport physicals for the school year 2018-2019 will be held June 4 at the high school office. This is for

Hudsonville Public School students ONLY entering grades 7 - 12 for the 2018-19 school year. The boys will begin at 6pm

and the girls at approximately 8pm. The cost will be $15.00 and checks can be made payable to Hudsonville Public

Schools.

BMS Media Center Important Dates

In order to complete all end of year tasks, the Final Due Date for all BMS Media Center materials is Thursday, May 31. All

books & magazines MUST Be turned in by May 31 (no renewals or 5 day grace period allowed) and all outstanding

obligations must be taken care no later than June 8.

Fall Sports - Just a reminder that your son or daughter MUST HAVE A SPORTS PHYSICAL AND ATHLETIC CODE turned into the middle school office before the first day of practice and or tryouts.  Signups and information sheets are available in the office for students to pick up but here are some highlights: 

Cross Country: If you are planning on running cross country this fall be sure to pick up the summer training calendar so you're in shape for the fall season!  Don't miss the optional group runs scheduled on a few Tuesday nights during the summer months!  Practices begin August 27th from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.  Coach Melissa Hinken ([email protected]

COMMUNITY EVENTS

~ Hudsonville Rocket Cheer Registration - Is your daughter going into 1st-8th grade next fall and interested in

cheering? Hudsonville Rocket Cheerleading will be having their registration dates on Monday, June 18 and Tuesday, July

31 from 5 - 8 pm at the Hudsonville High School cafeteria.  The registration deadline is Tuesday, July 31 (no late

registrations will be accepted).  The registration fee is $75 and includes an end of year banquet and trophy.  Visit

~ Byron Center Adventure Race Is an exciting, one-hour event, teams of two to four 8- through 14-year-olds will find

checkpoints and solve challenges in various locations within the approximately 80 acres of the Byron Township

Whistlestop Park.  Checkpoints will be marked with colored flags; challenges will include age-appropriate physical and

mental games and tests which require teamwork.  Participants will compete with those of similar ages to win prizes.  An

After-Race Bash will celebrate the fun! Registration Fee:  $10 (Late Registration Fee after August 31, 2018 - $15)

Register at www.runsignup.com. Place:  Byron Township Community Center and Whistle Stop Park, 2120 76th St., SW. Participants can check in at the Racer Check-In location near the Community Center.

~ The Michigan Council for Women in Technology (MCWT), is planning an engaging 4-day summer camp experience for young ladies in West Michigan. Camp Infinity introduces technology to girls in 5th - 8th grade as fun & fulfilling and inspires the pursuit of technology education. Campers will learn skills like application development, 3-D animation, basic programming and robotics. The 2017 camp was such a wonderful success, that we are planning 2 locations for the summer of 2018 - July 16-19: Holland @ Davenport University Campus. The camp runs from Monday-Thursday 8:30-3:30 pm, includes lunch, and is only $75. Register here

COMMUNITY EDUCATION INFORMATION

Girls Soccer Camps - 6th - 8th Grade - The girl's middle school soccer camp will be run by the Hudsonville Girls Soccer coaches and players to improve the fundamentals of soccer and work on higher skill development. Key aspects that will be focused on are shooting, defense, specific positioning, ball control, and touches. Individual goalkeeping training will also be provided during this time to any goalkeepers. The staff will include a variety of competitive games, drills, team and individual activities. There will also be an opportunity for players to win prizes every day. Cost is $55.00.
