Subcrestal Implant Placement with aConical Connection: The New Paradigm for Long-term Tissue Support

This half-day program will focus on current and new prosthetic treatment modalities that range from the aesthetic single tooth to fullyedentulous treatment choices. With over 25 years of clinical usage, implants placed subcrestally (with a conical connection and horizontal offset design) are redefining success in implant dentistry. Clinical studies have demonstrated that this design and placement support long-term stability for both the hard and peri-implant soft tissue. The conical connection has also been shown to be resilient to material fatigue and to help eliminate micromovement.

At the conclusion of this program participants will understand:The use of subcrestal placement with internal conical interface implants for achieving optimized soft tissue resultsMechanical stability of a conical connection implant design and the associated high success rates and biomechanical predictabilityThe influence of an internal connection for the elimination of micromovementAdvantages of a horizontal offset design conceptUse of implants following immediate, early, and delayed protocolsBone and soft tissue preservation for enhanced aesthetic resultsConsiderations for restorative solution selection

Computer-Guided Implant Treatment Planning

We are fast approaching the day when CT case planning will become a “standard procedure” within the treatment process, ensuring optimized results for implant patients. Through 3D visualization of the patient’s anatomy, computer-guided treatment planning software can help prevent mistakes and unpleasant surprises during implant surgery. By utilizing data processed from a CT scan, you are able to measure and locate vital structures such as the mandibular nerve, sinus cavities, and nasal floor. Certain software programs also contain 3D images of implants, abutments, and teeth, which allows for efficient, accurate, and reliable planning of the number of implants needed, implant position and size, and abutment selection. When the case is planned, a surgical guide is ordered to ensure the planned result is replicated in the real surgical situation. This evening program will present the practice and patient benefits of CT technology for increased accuracy and control of implant placement.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to understand:The latest software tools: realistic implants, measurements, localization of vital structures, collision detection, bone quality, and many othersSurgical guide types and how to design the right guide for your patientHow computer-guided treatment planning software can grow your implant businessAdvantages of a horizontal offset design conceptUse of implants following immediate, early, and delayed protocolsBone and soft tissue preservation for enhanced aesthetic resultsConsiderations for restorative solution selection
