Bad Plastic Surgeries

Bad plastic surgeries or in other words, plastic surgeries that failed to serve their original purposes. This is

probably the most straightforward reason as to why cosmetic surgeries are to be banned. We are made to

believe in ideality: physicians imagined an ideal surface whereby there is no friction whatsoever, chemistsimagined an ideal gas law whereby every variable can be a constant, and plastic surgeons imagined an ideal

cosmetic procedure whereby a person can be transformed into a perfect human model of physical

flawlessness . Note that all the above e amples of ideality are by far, either merely assumptions or

imaginations. They are nothing if not a figment of human imaginations. !osmetic surgeries were translated

to us as if they were magic and a never-failing wish . But bear in mind, not only are cosmetic surgeries not

assured of "##$ success rates, failures can even lead to a lifetime of regrets%

When cosmetic surgeries fail on us, not only will we not achieve the results that we want, we may

even loo& more abnormal than before, resulting in a negative effect' Some of the remar&able (bad plastic

surgeries) *only for cosmetic procedures+ include: the (falling nose) of ichael -ac&son)s and the (sausage

lips) of Pete Burn)s. riginal intensions of these cosmetic procedures were to either enhance

harmoniousness of the entire facial feature or to fulfill the desire of the person undergoing such procedures.

/owever, in the above cases neither of the objectives was accomplished . 0ccording to an article, the latter

case *Pete Burn)s+ even intended to sue the plastic surgeon for the dissatisfactory. 1n reality, cosmetic

surgery is li&e a bet but what we lose may never be what we)ll get bac&, ever. 0 bad bet could be a tragedy.

Side effects are also one of the many drawbac&s of cosmetic surgeries. 2isualise a person who is

physically healthy. 0fter a cosmetic procedure, he finds himself a new handicap which is the inability to

run and 3ump as he used to. -ust imagine the discomfort of having to persistently control his emotional

needs after having settled his psychological needs. /umans do have poor souls after all. The above was a

random e ample of a normal gastric bypass surgery. ther possible side effects of cosmetic surgeries

include: discomforts, aches, pains, swellings, infections , etc.

Beside all the above ris&s that we may face when considering cosmetic surgeries, there are still

dangers that we need to loo& out for. 4or e ample, there could be unprofessional surgeons operating on us.

These surgeons could be either undergraduates, unlicensed, uncertified or, worse come to worst, not even

a surgeon. There was one case whereby the surgeon who performed an eyelid surgery was actually only a

beautician' ther than that, some surgeons could deceive his5her candidates by not informing the

candidates of the unsuitability of the operations for the particular candidates. These cosmetic surgeons

reali6e that certain cosmetic procedures are not for everyone and this piece of information could be purposely left out by irresponsible surgeons. This is something they don’t always tell you .
